I think lots of players didnt notice that they can buy oil on private. Express is the only server with oil in purchases isnt it?

This is why:

Please Dont Hurt Me (#164)
1st Tribe of Gods (#166)
Enterprise NX01 (#2)
dagohoy (#60)
Midland (#153)

These guys were killed by contries they never even touched.
And a lot of other counties got screwed the same way but didn't die.

That's the point why GDI is "unfairly" helping big countries. It protects good netting players from random suiciders with nothing better to do.

But I have no idea why the guys above didn't join GDI. Must have forgotten to join and grabbed immediately.

Haha it's ridiculous comparing the costs of oil and jets. It's like printers nowadays. The bloody ink cost much more than the printer itself.

That is a great idea. Gives the retaling counties a chance of getting land back. Can we ask the mods and admins to implement this? It's about time those bastards stop hiding behind DR while the targets are pissing away their land.

Unless a country is purposely putting itself in DR, it wont be grabbed to the point DR is deep.

No style of play uses a zero defense/insignificant defense strat since it would entice other countries to farm it to the ground.

Unless that style of play is inviting hits on purpose to get lots of dr, to be exploited on countries that do not have a fair chance of getting land back. Which is unfair thus illegal.

i don't think GDI is flawed. If you get grabbed by a much bigger country early on it doesn't really mean you were farmed. If they grab you more than once you can go apefluff on them anyway. If grabbed only once you have the entire set to grow big and retal them later on.

I thought that if Catchy's ABs happened a few days later it would have been to my advantage since I was planning to convert to MBR and those 20K+ acres of labs need to be destroyed anyway, proceeded to switch to MBR until I tried to build and saw that cute little number there called BPT. Spent a lot of turns to bring BPT up while hemorrhaging cash per turn. Also I didnt have enough cash yet for MBR switch so was forced to sell tech.

If this takes 80 turns with say 75 BPT (I'm not sure what his BPT will be after the ABs), that is an additional potential loss of 1.22b dollars more, if I use an estimated 7300 TPT and $2100 as the tech price.

Yeah when I think about it nothing is wrong with the system. If players here constantly bicker on the nature of their conflicting retal policies, they're better off playing on alliance. This is the wild west where anything goes.

Click jets. Their price has been going down since day 12, and going down sharply since about day 19. You can see the $107 jets you bought fit within that trend, and, though a good price, were not a "bargain" that you could easily resell for more. As such, they're not worth buying in higher amounts than you actually need despite the price right now - there's way too much time left in the reset.

Yeah I get that it's not feasible to hoard lots and sell later, since I'm not a demo as I said. But I do need those since I'm looking to grab more now that I've fully built land and decent defense. But when need to stock and shed excess baggage upkeep I might sell them, even a very minor profit is perfectly okay since I got to use them anyway.

Yeah as a buyer and not a seller I am obviously very happy to purchase these cheap-ass military and I'd love to see it stay that way so that means I'm in favor of CIs undercutting eh?

If you see a thread about a guy who doesn't know what he's doing, shouldn't you offer him a few tips to increase his smarts of the game? I'm not saying I know a lot and I'm still trying to get the kinks out of my game but that comment was somewhat bluntly rude.

Would it be interesting if GDI was tweaked and makes a country that was RoR'd (country A) be able to attack again without breaking GDI? So basically country A can retal the RoR without risking war yet. So then country A has the option of going apefluff on country B after the RoR or he can grab him again without having to suffer ABs and missiles.

This may deter players who deliberately RoR on others thinking that others don' want to go to war and will look the other way so he gets a free grab.

I've been RoR'd before but didn't retal the RoR since I wanted to finish the set netting (not that I'm good - yet) so that fluff got away with extra land.

But then again you guys will probably tell me to grow a pair and just give the other guy what he deserves. :)
