Earth: Empires offers many different game types (or servers) to play on. Players can play as many servers as they wish, but may only have one Earth Empires account.

Cooperation Server
- Friendly for New Players
- Players work together to attack NPC countries
- 2 month rounds

Primary Server
- More experience required
- 1 turn every 30 minutes
- 2 month rounds

Tournament Server
- Friendly for New Players
- 1 turn every 25 minutes
- 1 month rounds

Express Server
- Fast-paced game play
- 1 turn every 4 minutes
- 5 day rounds

Alliance Server
- Clan-based server
- More experience required
- 1 turn every 20 minutes
- 2 month rounds

Team Server
- Maximum of five players per tag
- 1 turn every 15 minutes
- 1 month rounds

Free For All Server
- Run up to 16 countries per person
- Clan-based server
- 1 turn every 20 minutes
- 2 month rounds
