This is a big reason I still play too. My extended family are here. It is truly post like this that prove what a great game community we are. I hope this has brought some peace to this young man's father and posibly other family.

thanks deLi for asking. I had not told anyone until now. been having some issues of health. Was tested for Cancer. But good news finally today said I don't have it. The fear can sure tell one what is really important in life.

I had to adjust my e-mail settings as I found out that it showed up the same way as Dixiechick on my desktop. I figured it out when our IT department camed by saying "hi Dixiechick' or Chick and laughing. I no longer log on from work to BC or EE. When i have msn loaded it no longer shows Dixiechick. Good thing our IT likes me around there.

The RedCross is also a reliable sourse for donations. I know I am going to send what I can and encourage everyone to. We can all skip something (movie rentals etc) for a week or so to give to these people. I cannot watch the scenes unfold on the news without crying.

decided to seperate my Facebook friends into a seperate group so that I could post game stuff without having workers read it. Now in 3 days I have 60 active gamers posting all most non stop all day. it has been fun and many are retired and considering returning to the game. So F/B just may be a good recruiting tool after all.

Agrees with above. you should stay. being a leader means sometimes, someone is going to get on your case or politics of the game will get on your last nerve.. But pick yourself up and look to your friends and keep on playing. we are here still to enjoy the game..

I listened to the news earlier where they think a second person was with him when this happened. I do hope this was not another gamer too. You know we have a lot of fun playing this game but many times too many emotions flow. for the most part people get upset and then they laugh it off and let it go. But you never know on-line who is still angry. That anger could stem from a real life senerio, fester even more here in the game.

We just have to all know the boundaries of what is real and what is not.

Actually I was only asking hypothecially if the game dyanmics would work because i thought it might not even work. and I would never want to play on a server that was all X all the time. i was thinking more of a set where all agreed just to see how everyone did and who could all net each other under those conditions.

Thanks for all the responces. they were interesting. i do agree with a line from Martian's post.

That is the issue imo too as to why we have issues with grabbing complaints. There is a lot to be gained in ghost acres and grabbing atm. however, the issue is dwindling number of players. If things are to improve we need to all help recruit and train new members as they arrive.

hypothetical question. All of alliance agreed to do a set all Xing and no grabbing. would the dyanamics of this game even work?

I just say that because I have always been curious of how things would be without someone grabbing each each other and building from within ( yeah we see clans that boost their members at end of set to gain biggest n/w)..

The crazy idea came to me when i read the post about the newbie self deleting after he came to play this game and got farmed . back when I first started playing this game i recruited a couple of cousins to play. they decided to try primary first. pffft. got farmed to death and never played again. lol

but I see that is in "survival of the fittest" when the rest of us continue to play day after day.

Archiac is helping us pact as he said and will be around some we hope for consulting. he has r/l stuff and i am hoping to lure him back full time in near future.
