You really should. LaF's been "voiding" pacts whenever it's expedient for them to do so for at least half a decade. The only thing that's changed this time is that LaF actually gave a warning about the pact being voided before FSing the other alliance. And now there's like 300 countries left in the Alliance server. The era of text-based browser games is long past, and the decline of players in this game has always been inevitable. However, I do believe that LaF's policies and alliances who play and/or played like LaF in the past has hastened the decline.

Sniping? You mean cherrypicking? Nah, not so much. More landkills than anything. My record is 42 kills in a single Alliance reset. 16 kills (most of them landkills) by a single country in a single Alliance reset.

See, this is why I almost never tried to identify myself with a particular country name. Sooner or later, my perfect playing abilities would soon be tainted by those who don't have the skills that I do, yet want to try to ride my coat tails to the bottom of the scores sheet. This way, I don't have to dust off the "Create a country page" long after I've retired to defend my reputation.

Of course, there are a couple names that most people will associate with me, such as The Golden n00b, but those names were either in response to deteriorating server conditions at the time that I helped bring attention to, or fads I jumped on. Once those were filled or otherwise met, I never used those names again. If anyone else tries to use those names now, no one will care because the conditions needed to use those names can never be repeated. My record will stand forever, no matter what anyone attempts to do about it now.

I did this with the tech market a few years ago. I basically FSed the tech market with low-priced tech, incrementing in price with small batches of tech to a point, then starting over. It was wildly successful. A farmer won that set, IIRC.

Oh, sweetie, you have no idea. Evolution was my plaything, and I ruled over the lower tiers with an iron fist and a bout of paranoia not seen since the last century. Private messages on the Evo alliance site weren't really "private", and I used the access gained to bring to light information which others tried to cover up, resulting in leaders falling and cheaters ousted. Leader boards were read at my whim, and I would subtly give advice which, when listened to, helped Evolution in any issue that cropped up. As you can see, my advice wasn't always given the consideration it should have been, and Evolution fell from the top of the scores sheet in the space of a couple of resets and withered away. And yes, I banned anyone I didn't like from anywhere I could, just as a warning to others. And I hardly ever got into trouble for it!

Generally, in the few times I've let someone go with a single retal in response to their multitaps, they'd just farm me again. Then their set would end spectacularly, but so would mine.

Yeah, he's literally begging me to play ffa with him. I have no interest in playing this game, and have had no interest in playing this game for a year or so now. It's just not going to happen.

I haven't played the last 6 resets. Didn't feel the need to then, and I just don't feel it now. I made top10 in repeatable fashion; that's good enough for me. That thread spans several resets, and every time, he's either destroyed or deleted, vowing that he's learned from his mistakes and won't repeat them. And yet here we are. "Found the cheater again". LOL.

Another country does not necessarily mean another account--he may have restarted after dying.

I've had a few run-ins with Ratski. I do not recall ever losing to him. He got deleted once, maybe twice, because of me. I especially enjoyed the live battle I had with him that one time we were both online at the same time. I gave him a couple chances to back off and let me retal in peace, but he left in pieces in the end. Took maybe 15 minutes from start to finish. I don't think he really plays to "win"--only to see how much damage he can cause. He's never made a top-10 country in Express. In fact, he's never finished above rank 30 in the entire game.
