Interesting comments about a mobile app. Unless there is pro-bono work offered, how do you propose it gets paid for on a free game? Not sure if its relative the the gaming world, but I am working on a app for one of my products at work. The cost for development, thus far is over $50k US. Again, I'm not a computer person, just one who manages development people and the associated finances.

In agreement with Namineff's vision, just not his or her approach :). The majority of us playing the game have no financial investment in the growth of the game as a business. So the suiciding either drives us away or forces us to adapt. In the end, who is writing that big check to lure new and younger players to the game? No one imo. But.. here i am, 15+ years later and the game is still around; so wtf do I know; we just all continue being fluffs; some of us gaining, and some of us warring and.. some of us restarting every other day.

Personally, idgaf. While I do not agree with what they did, I will admit I had fun with it. Fortunately, some of us prefer to wargain :) Mrcuban is correct, people will just adjust and others will welcome clicking the attack button repeatedly. For those of us who like that attack button, it means nothing if you get killed and your restart is ready to attack with substance 100 turns later (hate the game, not the player, or change the game). While that is occurring, those experienced at gaining and controlling the top ten will continue, while us wargainers are down below swinging fly swatters at these pests. So yea, idgaf... looking forward to next set.

Much has changed within the last 10 years. The last time I was in there, it was 2014. There was a group that started a strategy game similar to EE whereas, you actually had land, military, etc that you could physically see, but also an interface similar to EE to control it from. So when your country grew, you saw things added and when attacked, etc, you saw things disappear. I often wondered if whoever started that was originally from E2025 or EE. This came to mind when reading other posts about updating this game with some sort of GUI to attract new players in today's world...

Force the alliance server to be just that, an alliance server. Create the rule and code to support: “You must be in an alliance to play on the alliance server.” When creating an account, you would need to enter the alliance / clan or whatever you are affiliated with in order for the country to be created. Should someone decide to tag jump and suicide, etc, the issue would be managed by the alliances, as they were managed in the past ( diplomacy or a war between alliances). If you decide to leave the alliance you are affiliated with to join another, perhaps that could be changed in a preferences menu. However, entering no alliance affiliation would not let you progess further into the game or access your country. In addition, the bots in game should also be tagged with some sort of identifying. The intent of this suggestion is to force the alliance server to be what I believe the intent and spirit was; to allow groups of identified people play as one unit against eachother. Would this not solve the suicide issue in the alliance server?
