Well.. I wouldn't judge this as a normal set as a lot of good/great netters in IMP and CC were not able to do much. You have to also remember, some people don't go for top 1-3, they go for a good average networth, which can be harder than boosting one country to the top 3. And yeah, playing 16 countries may make some more lazy than playing 1, which goes to what I said about making it more complicated because you have to become more efficient as Fiat said.

Hopefully CC is serious about wanting to fix burnt bridges and next reset is a good netting set for everyone.

War clans will be more fun because they'll be more active and maybe better for getting advice... but definitely start with netting.

Also if you join a large clan these days its 99% chance you'll be in war, so small clans are a better place to start.

Seems to me that the best netters on FFA have more success on alliance than vice-versa. FFA is hard in different ways and netting on alliance... well, the hard part these days is politicking. Finding a clan that's not gonna get involved in war the last few sets must have been tricky (lucky that's not my thing). More bots, sure, but everyone has access to those bots, doesn't change anything. Able to transfer stock? Sure, again though, everyone has access to it and it's just another tool that has been to learned, it doesn't make anything simpler. 16 countries, again, just means not as simple and more time used... everything on FFA except the politicking makes things more complicated.

Not saying that netting on either is harder, just making an observation. Would love to see some great alliance netters come here and make this server more active. It would be a pretty fun competition to see who really can net the best. As an observer, of course, since I'm terrible at netting :P

"Near disasters" happen to Westjet and so on, too. Go-arounds are pretty routine and there did not seem to be any urgency in this situation. From the timings of the recording, I guess the pilot was told to go around at more than half a mile from the threshold. Meh. When the media reports on this stuff it's never about making aviation safer, just about scaring people into tuning in.

Reason would be SOL and Elders both probably wanted to war LAF. But they couldn't both do it without making it unfair so they compromised and hit every other clan to make it even numbers, minus RAGE who pacted out because well... everyone knew this would happen. :P

Really, just a game and I think if you wanna net in a clan, probably FFA is your best bet these days as alliance gets blown up every set.

The only chance you'll ever have with CC is if they decide to slum it. The only reason they even talked to you this set is because they were in a tight spot and needed someone to waste some of our turns. In essence, they used you, and didn't even invite you to their clan after. That should tell you how little they think of you, and rightly so.

Not even millionaires. You get a flat fee... and it isn't much.

The allegation here is that the Canadian government did not do enough to get him free and it was their duty to do so because he was born in Canada. Why should the government be obliged to free a prisoner of war.... a bomb maker... someone who did not care about the victims that paid for his actions? That said, it makes no intuitive sense for a humanitarian to block you from doing anything in say... a communist country. Those damned humanitarians should be lined up against a wall and shot, right comrade?

It would be nice to list decay rate of food somewhere or at least mention that it does decay. This feels like one of those things that new players have to join a clan or read pages upon pages of the strategy forum to find out. The only mention of it in-game is in the help information on bonuses tab - not really an intuitive place for new players to look.

Also, you do realize that you have to know how to kill and wall? Even if you have the best country ever, which you're clearly incapable of making, you're going to die easily if you can't/don't wall; whereas, someone with a toothpick country will last longer if they do wall. And killing? Well, what was it? 3 kills you got in 12 days?

Skeptical of the 150ish country advantage. I counted about 100 after everyone joined. I think it's double counting/forgetting people on one side or another but meh. Not particularly important. Most of the hitstat advantage for CC came in the FS and then it evened out for a few days with the tags remaining roughly the same number (discounting all untagged/knowme/xsmcx/lupis/etc hits) before the others joined and it evened out in total.

Of course, CC was the more active hitters pound-for-pound, aside from macdaddy who was the worst hitter of the war. This war was a slugfest and we were definitely the Russians.



I don't think calling them a paper tiger is fair, but yeah, I have no idea why everyone lets them FS. Last thing I'd do. And he/they/ze was definitely the star of the show, at least for this war.
