To add to what Gerdler said, once you get there, then you can divide by your own numbers to get the final total number of jets needed:

[(Def * govtbonus * weaponstech + allies) * defbonus * 1.1] / yourWeaponsTech / 1.5 for PS / govtBonus = jets needed

Express is a great place to practice doing these calculations quickly on the fly, but I made an excel sheet with all of the formulas embedded for Primary attacking. As long as I copy over the correct numbers for the defender and their allies, it works great.

Or just use "50m jets never fail" which has the same result!

yeah but what level of rainbow, like an Indy with Farms and Rigs isnt as bad as say someone with ENT/Res and Labs to tech with..

Food can be in the 70s and oil in the 400s here so bug gave a good example there. Commies have 10% tax on top of it so it's not a bad idea for them sometimes. LB can prob speak to this.

Ent zones and labs lose effectiveness when you lower their % so casher and techer needs to stay focused.

Wisk level, i can name others but don't want to expose them, look at Wisk country.

I can’t remember what server it was on but in the old scores I saw a really amazing casher and it was huge and it was a straight rainbow through and through. Wish I could find it now. I’ll try later and see if I can.

To tac onto what Tmac and Bug said, a few sets ago I ran a Commie Indy Farmer and finished 4th I think? Because of +20% Technology Effectiveness and 10% Market Commissions it made more sense to build my own farms then to pay $70+ for bushels which it was going for most of that set.

I'm talking rainbow as in all building types, not some hybrids, real rainbow, all building types built, don't confuse with hybrids.

Theo's cheap pm allows some of those full blown rainbows into the top 10 early. They bully me sometimes, lol.

That is very cool but I saw an actual rainbow like KoH is talking. I was looking at old Top ten countries when I first came back and was very surprised to see it. I can’t even remember what server it was on though but it was very cool whoever did it. If I find it again I will post the link.

They changed it for solo servers, but ghost acres used to be dependent on your own buildings. Similar to alliance, the ones who grab the most look pretty rainbow, but it's just because you get more of their land if you have the same type of buildings. Especially if they were huge, that seems like a very plausible reason to be more rainbow than specialized.

No they were grabbing on a steady basis. Food and cash on hand. Still playable. Spooky.

I dunno, depends on government, but probably. Demo has no market commissions, Theo has -35% tech, Dicts have -30% build rate, Reps cash. Tyranny could maybe build farms.

So in theory if one wanted to go for a land record rainbow would be the way to go? Wonder how fat one of the big guys could get with tag protection. I think that’s actually where I saw the big rainbow but I’m not 100 percent sure.

Seems like you are the one getting "creamed" honestly, you were rank 1 with most land in the game a week ago. If this guy didn't ruin you anyone of the other 10 people who you broke GDI on would have destroyed you. You will never finish top 20 with this type of play.

The problem isn't that you are breaking GDI btw... we all do it (except delphinius maybe), the problem is that you are doing it as a rule and without any kind of finesse. When we do it we jump out of range permanently, so that we can't get retalled, or we run high tanks+SDI (but this is rare).
