Thanks guys... I did have a look at what it would take for t3 avg earlier in the set. I also thought when I was jumping I was going to be 5 to 10m nw shy of it too. I had estimated my finish to be around 1.17b nw this set. That being said I have just been lucky enough to get to net a few times with favorable conditions. I have no doubt anything I have done will be beaten down the track. My money is also on Gerdler to be the one in the current crop to beat it.

Not sure we ever had the land record before because it's such an obscure and insignificant record that no one really cares enough about to keep track of. :)

Idk. I play FFA and I could be wrong but I think no one cares or knows the single land grab record there either. It would be a product of self farming of some type I would guess but it doesnt really like.....matter at all so I think it gets forgotten.

Every so many years someone topfeeds a netter and claims to have the biggest landgrab ever. I did it when i was a child as well. Even remember the country was called Backside Bandit (often wondered if a LaF person could remember who that might have been). I was like 13 years old and LaF was farming ICN for reps from rival joining ICN and then detagging to suicide. I topfed the biggest one from BSS And then claimed to have the council server landgrab record for a while. I think I was mostly just a lonely child who wanted attention at that time more than anything tho, you know. I lived alone at too young an age.

The record itself is sorta anecdotal to whatever attention grabber is claiming it at the time. It's not like anyone is willing to go back thru 15 years of eestats 1 hit at a time to find a larger one so it is whatever the person who says they have it that year says it is.

I can honestly think of three people who have claimed that in the last 6 or so years and I think if I named them out loud we'd all struggle to find those hits to see whose was actually larger. Fortunately most griefer style players tire of the game after a while so theres usually only one "record holder" at a time.

Man I think even hellrush had the "biggest grab on the server" for a time. It's like a thing you know.

If anyone actually does fully research the last 15 years one hit at a time and comes up with a top 5 for me, I'll believe it's an actual thing. It's a pile of work to do that tho because no one keeps track of something that insignificant, so you'd have to go back thru something no one cared about or collected data on forever.

biggest grab has settled down now since you need do have a 450k ish country or so to get it which means you need to put more effort into it

I know that I've personally had the largest landgrab in the game several times over. Some even caused wars. :) One was a LONG time ago, I was being killed by the old OOA alliance. LOL. Then you had to take ALL the land to get a kill. Once you were in DR's, they had to take it 25 acres a shot. LOL. I was down to like 60 acres, and there was this huge 10K acre country in my scores list. It was Don Blubb's country. He was an all jetter. I sent a 2 Jet PS and took like 4K acres, now imagine what OOA was thinking when they looked at all that land and the DR's which would last until the next day, at least. Sorry DB, didn't know you then, hardly knew anyone playing for LaF back then.

The funny part was DB nuking me several times after trying to retal and only getting 25 acres back. :)

Hitting bots, that can't hit back.
No expenses for defense, cuz the "community" will cry if someone hits a netter.
Unlike the "community" joining in endless banter during War chats, and meeting folks across multiple alliances, most netters play a solo game.

I have recruited folks that laugh at this game and with all the "community" crap about bots and not being able to hit live countries, didn't last one set.

Congratulating a netter is a lot like the first time you see a child go Poo Poo in the potty. You get all excited and praise the special event.
