I just had 2 earthquakes (760 acres and 554 acres) back to back and food shortages. I will never learn not to log in while sleepy :-(

Three days ago I hit the cash button for 10 turns and got two quakes.
I was so disgusted I just stopped playing turns.

The next day I rebuilt the land, and on the fifth cashing turn after that got another quake.

Can't we at least get quakes disabled for the 2nd half of a set?

i had same thing as crest last set of alliance, inside 10 turns 2 quakes and over 1k buildings gone (rebuild took 10 turns).

disabling quakes has been suggested (many times) but game admins haven't warmed for it.

It's not really fairish. Techers get hurt by earthquakes the most, because they get no income while rebuilding.

Earthquakes come a lot more frequent at end of set don't they? Is it because of having 0 buildings of other building types? You can't get a food shortage, so you get an earthquake instead?

1 building of each type besides moneymakers preventing earthquakes was myth (pretty hard to proove if it worked) in earth2025 and its not implemented into ee. eqs don't happen more often at any point of set but are most destructive when set nears its end.

Play turns now or play it later, they are still going to play their turns. Better now when food is 41 than in a couple days when it is 36.

In a round when there is no 'big' farmer, I'm surprised it's as low as it is.
Perhaps the techer(s) dumped their food already? I just can't see a demo dumb enough to dump food below $42 let alone @ $36, lol.

All I was trying to say is that the two 50k acre farmers already have 2B in hand (most likely) and should be storing food soon instead of selling at $42-$43 and eating corruption from excess cash.

So theoretically food shouldn't crash until rep/demo/commie dump stock to jump off private or there are more techer stock than I thought. But then again, I'm almost always wrong, lol. My guess, based on the market trend, it will keep at $42-$44 for another 4-5 days. Then drop to $39 end of August and eventually to $37 in last day.

What if I told you one of those 2 farmers haven't been selling food the entire week?

The lack of food demand is because 2 Techers switched to MBRs and are selling food, not buying them, something that hasn't occurred for some years.

they sell bit by bit so good doesn't crash immediately.. no one is gonna buy 300m food on day 40..

they are also counting on the rise of food prices during stocking phase.
