I prob wouldn't retal a bounced attack if it wasn't beneficial either. Ugo not retalling will help the guys who do lose land get a lil more back on their retal too.

Having more land could actually deter guys at the top from hitting you. More production=higher chance of retal. They hit almost everyone they think can't retal, so amount of land isn't a huge factor. Last set you were a theo so your weaps couldn't be great, but i dount you'll have anyone come knocking as a dict =)

Per capita income. You multiply that by your population by your tax rate for your income. Cashers use pci booms the last ~30% of the set.

There's only 2 reasons to grab like that:
1. Clueless
2. They want to mess with people

I only grab if there is a benefit. They're free to do w/e they want. If you're comparing it to serp and ponti's big grabs last set, i dont think it's the same. Their reason was to gain, this guy has a 0% chance to gain.

Good point about tech starts getting land after upping building costs, and stopping building reduction a third of the way in. There's definitely alot of variables that can come into play.

I feel like, even at 60k, expenses are the way to go. If you have to rebuild alot or can manage to stock with low military, then i could see going a different way. Last set i didn't have to rebuild any of my 60k buildings, and didn't stock. I went to -36% expenses. I prob saved 2b+ cash over the last 5 days alone. I'm thinking that's all i would have saved for the whole set by going -60% building cost.

I took gerdler saying to send a pm with predictions so the last guys who post wouldn't know everyone's prediction for themselves. My estimates are just quick calcs in my head. Turns left•production, added to current nw and estimated stock. Like i said, i have some inside info on some, but here's my educated guess.

Delph-thx for the advice. You're 100% top 10 so target met.

Gerd-only prob with that is some people have intel on alot of the top 10. 2 guys have already given me their expected finish. I already gave every1 my estimate for myself. I could take a solid guess at serp's finish, but if he doesn't run his last days turns i'd end up 10m nw off. I'll make a list just for fun if the others play along.

Thx for the tips serp. I figured you'd have something to say considering all the top indies you've made.

I only figured out your tip about storing goods on the market a week or so ago. I would see my food consumption go down randomly(i thought), but eventually realized it was my jets going out on the ps that did it. That helped me realize i could save through the market as well.

I give myself 105m selling at $100 units. I could break 110m, but i don't think 115m+. A 60k acre commie with high nw is uncharted territory for me so we'll just have to wait and see =)

Great retal delph! Biggest i've seen on this server in the 2 sets i've been back. The military losses were something else, lol. I saw it coming when serp didnt run turns for a while. I think you just put yourself in contention for a top 5 finish!

I've said all along the techer will have a nice finish, but i don't think he's breaking 100m. He was 1 of the countries i had fighting for that 5th spot. Maybe he'll do even better, but tech prices aren't everything. He's had to stock food at high prices, and tech has to crash the last week..... I think, lol.

Gerd- I'm not sure what your point is about 24. If you're saying we shared info i will say i didn't give or receive any info. I lost 200k spies getting his op and market spy which i shared with no1(not even my ally who had already hit him). Just seems like big countries finishing up their last grabs on the last targets available. I'm sure those 5 counties have alot of hits on the same countries.

If everyone agreed i was going to win easily, i wouldn't have taken any of those risks. I would have prob just stocked on 50k acres with less nw. Ponti can't help himself, he has to live on the edge =P Very nice retal gerd, lucky you got that in before the missles!

New favorites have to be the 2 60k acre commies.
3rd and 4th-new top casher and top farmer
5th should be a battle between 3 or 4 countries

Yes im already vulnerable cos i got weaker allies than those top guys.. after i see that the top are still making hits, i decided to change ally after i receive an offer from a top guy.. i drop my alliance without careful consideration, and i did not factor in serp into the equation of ppl to guard against.. i was monitoring the top, and leave him out..

His ally sounds like a beast, hehe.

Gerdler is right though, you really shouldn't be posting people's military build.

If your ally was so low d that you needed an upgrade, you were actually vulnerable before you dropped them too. An extra mil or 2 turrets help isn't going to scare someone off that wants to hit ya.

You were suppose to lose that land because serp sent enough jets to break you. A stab in the back would be dropping a d ally, then hitting them. Getting grabbed by a guy that has hit you before doesn't seem like a backstab.

Judging from previous posts from ugo/cumorah, i don't think they agree with your philosophy. It doesn't bother me that cumorah farmed the crap outta someone, but it caught up to him. I took advantage of a situation he brought on himself. I was allied to ugo last set, and like him. He was my best target one day this set so i hit him. Maybe he's having more fun chasing these retals, maybe not. I've grabbed nearly everyone on the server, not going to have unspoken naps.

Your tpt is about a third of your labs(as long as you're mostly labs). Each techer might not be selling 100% of their production each day.

he hasnt been attacking for past 10 days.. could be stocking up already.. but if he were a techer, not sure if he has enough at 30k land to snatch a win.. i think the top guys would end at least 50k, and probably near 60k land

I said i think the casher wins, and the techer could beat some indies to make top 5. Amount of land is important, but how quickly you get there is too. Stocking early with cheaper food and lower expenses(i assume) are perks. We'll have to see how the market plays out though =)

Mil prices are so low. I don't think a commie breaks 90m this set. That top casher should win. I wouldn't be surprised if casher2 or top techer beats the commies. There's a couple farmers who could also compete for a top 5 spot.

I'd suggest sending random offers. Not like you can lose spies from your allies, and most countries have a decent amount of spies.

Mine have been pretty reasonable. I've only failed 3+ times on guys with over 100 spal. There was a guy a couple weeks ago that i went 0 for 10 over a 2 day stretch. He was 4k-5k acres, and i was losing alot of spies. That's the only time i didn't get the op i wanted.

On the bright side, at least if you fail on some1 with low spies, you're not losing 25k spies.
