I logged in today and bought 60k worth of oil at $100 to do some quick lg's, but then all of a sudden all my cash was gone. I could have sworn I had like $65m on hand. How strange I thought. Maybe my goods didn't sell last night after all.... no, they sold.

Guess what? Oil was at $1000, not $100!!! Wow serves me right for not paying closer attention. lol

For a new player, keep it simple.

Basically build 15 bpt the first day, 5 or 10 bpt a day for the next few days, and before your explore rate is about to drop down to 39 (about 1924? acres), batch explore and then get your bpt rate to 50 at least before building acres. After that just get it up to where you think it should be ASAP by using this formula:

square root of ('land goal' / 4 * gvt bonus)

Chevs, I'm sure most in NA would feel pretty pathetic if we had to call backup before war even started. SoF is always a tough opponent, especially at a numbers disadvantage, but either way this turns out it's going to be one hell of a fun war for both sides.

If you do ever insert bots, don't tell anyone and do it gradually. If we all just LG'd easy to spot and easy to break bots all day with no worry of retaliation the game would be kind of pointless. Plus anyone farming bot countries to the ground should be suicided on as that is what a real person would/should do to defend them self and ward off attacks.

The purpose of this would have to be to make the game better by stabilizing markets by having more countries and taking some of the hits off of the newbs, not just giving everyone easy unlimited land.

He probably got his tech levels where he needed them sooner, and stocked at the right point.

I made a slight error in letting my land get too far ahead of my tech levels early on. After a couple of top feeds I was forced to spend a few says recovering techs, but probably was too far behind by that point.

I think this defending of allies could have been accomplished through normal, ingame diplomacy. There is no advantage at all and therefore nothing was done wrong in the first place. If they weren't allied at all and this occurred then maybe, but at least the right thing was done in reinstatement.

People are simply posting questions or showing examples of how retarded others can be out of frustration, and you are all over their case. Nobody wants to hear it buddy. Everyone already understands the concept that this game is different, but you gotta expect that people will discuss these topics because suicides(no rules attacking as you wish) are a part of this server and as a component of this server will be talked about.

All explore republic isn't a problem in Alliance. Why do you think players run all-X anyways? People in Alliance all-X because half the server is pacted out, and the other half can retal them, and the 5 untags get 50 LG's a day on them already, so why bother. It's player made policy that makes most go all explore in alliance server.

There are those also in any of the servers who don't have time to run an LGing strat anyways and chose to all-X for simplicity.

A percentage of earth will always be all explore, so why not leave an option of gov that benefits those people?
