That isn't entirely true. If i assigned different size tags SOF, SANCT and WOF for example. You would make very different decisions based on what tag is attached to the country. The alliances play a huge role on what happens and if you get grabbed or not. Not to mention if i slapped an untagged on one of those.

I don't think pursuing the Missiles/spy op Avenue is of any good. And it is of no benefit to the country that is sending the Missiles. It doesn't stop farming and will only further escalate situations.

The declaring war thing is pretty simple. It gives you an additional 10% boost on top of the PS bonus already. That is skewed toward the aggressor for every 1 jet you need 1.65 turrets to defend. Meaning i need to carry even more defense to stop your grab or retals. If my alliance can save me that extra military why wouldn't it try. If you want to be able to declare war you need to be able to enforce it.

PDM isn't in a position where it can enforce a policy on other alliances. Some of the things in your policy are major changes.

I don't play primary but based on what you guys are posting as concerns.

As far as country killing on the server. In reality in a 1 on 1 situation you will never be able to kill another country. You could put in extreme DR for pop attacks making it near impossible to kill anyone. That would eliminate the ability to kill. If it take 1500 turns to kill someone you are not likely to get many poeple.

Instead of having allies in traditional way other servers do. Make it an investment or cost per turn. Where it isn't a specific country your allied to but generic neighbor. Have it be max boost but the cost scales up as you the closer to max you get. It turns it into a strategy choice balancing cost for benefit. That way you don't disadvantage poeple who don't have 5 buddies from another server they know are playing.

Have a different version of declare war function (War kind of like utopia). After a certain amount of hits are exchanged between two countries you can declare war between those two countries. Again stealing from utopia the aggressor won't get option the one being hit more would. This makes hits outside those two countries impossible or at max DR level or something. Have it last a fixed period 48 hours. After which neither country can be attack or be hit for a fixed time 12 or 24 hours (they can opt out of this time if they choose too). It keeps kingdoms out of each others war in utopia might take a lot of tweaking but you could apply it to individual country level.

Random thoughts. I am going to try the server next set since i am just curious.

I think everyone spouting that it is a slap to the face and cheating is a kind of overreacting. This is really a game element they are proposing not a someone cheating.

They are asking the community for help. If poeple have knowledge on building bots help. Like it or not poeple who used bots or programs in past have some useful knowledge. If admins are comfortable using them I trust their judgment.

This is an effort by admins to try and make changes to the game to improve the environment. The Admins care about the game and they actively work to stop cheating. It may work it may not but at least they are trying.

Id be curious to see what happens with them.

Problem I see with bots is how you model bots to react. Are they purely passive or do they actively attack?
It gets hit 20 times by a country in Tag X. Does it retal country or retal someone in tag X ? When does it use specialty attacks or does it do them at random.

If Bots defend themselves. I don't see a scenario where they don't all get killed. Like what happens to untags now who give any kind of resistance.

If they are aggressive I see them getting killed and then being back to farmland as restarts.

If they are passive farm land it doesn't do much. If that is the case give everyone 200 acres instead of 20 a day.

If the idea is to artificially create land via the bots it doesn't make sense. You have to control to much of what it does. If adding land is your goal setting up system where you can buy/sell land might make more sense but that would dramatically change the game.

1)Attack Sim on spy ops page that auto-populates. Again more useful for individual servers and basically for convenience.

This probably has been brought up. But ever consider trying to get emails form the boys at Jolt. They have utopia running (Yes i still play utopia), there are 6.2k countries even if half are multies that is still 3k people who enjoy cooperative turn based games. Or exchanging ads and seeing if you can drive some new members that way.

His current status is UNKNOWN. He was a real WILDCARD. Kind of scary he might cause some MORAL DECAY.
