Hmm.

In the name of consistency, aren't vulgar country names typically just renamed by the mods and typically not a delete? Esp of a whole string with some vulgar names?

I know every mod is a little different but on team and 1a ive seen many ppl renamed rather than deleted over the years. Ingame messages are another cookie but this is kinda the most extreme approach I've seen.

Guess it goes back to that whole thing where things that are against the rules should just programmed in and not a mod judgement call. I wouldn't have expected to be deleted if i were iron based on several other instances of this on other servers.

If he feels targeted, I empathize with him. Just sayin.

They need to all get on the same page imo. We deleting or renaming? If renaming is to tedious on one server then delete should be the way on all servers.

It is up to the user though in the long run to have appropriate names.

Would love to know before hand if some of my names pass censor and not halfway through a set.

He could always step down if he doesnt have the time.

But yeah. Ive always thought things like sots on team(now detah presumably for this reason), collusion on solos, vulgarity in messages or in this case country names, etc, in ordinary games is just disallowed up front. They don't come side swipe you half way thru a game and kick you off it. Its really a bizarre way to handle rule breaking. 0 tolerance for people who don't read the fine print.

I might not agree with deleting for names instead of renaming, but different servers have different "rules" and different mods. What one mod might be ok doing another mod is not. While it is unfortunate that people are deleted it kinda is what it is and this should be viewed as a warning for everyone.

apparently rules are rules though, even when they aren't actually rules because its totally subjective what one person finds inappropriate verus another. this is called bias. the PC police are really out in full force but apparently it takes about 5 weeks or so for them to mobilize.

i guess no one else viewed what was going on as a form of protest even if it clearly was, at least there was a humor element to it

Mods fs was strong. Both sides suffered heavy losses.

The CS by the overlords proved effective tho. Sometimes you just have take direct action to make change. I'm very proud of everyone.
