On 21k that's like 210 turns - less than 4 full days - not too bad. Making 50% profit per unit of military for a few weeks was probably definitely worth it though, especially as a tax-free demo. Property taxes must be through the roof in his country though =P

Probably was a strategic play, based on the poor tech prices (early).

They rebounded and then were quite profitable for primary. At least what I'm told anyway, i'm not very familiar with the primary market.

@eManny All that food bought was sold to PM at $36 to buyout more food, so the buyer didn't really need 16b cash. 10b would be enough. Also, it has to be a Demo, because of the $36/$48 matching math calculations. So, all matching evidence points to What the Dell as the only Demo that has NW changes during the buyout.

So you need 4b cash to buyout 16b worth of food, lose 1/4 cash value every time, if all food was $48. Since the majority of the food was less than 48, he probably only needed 3b cash.

problem with gaming food this late in the set is that you have to go have lots of cash on hand to buyout meaning you've lost tons of money on corruption, and even if you buy at 37 and sell at like 45 it is debatable if it's even worth it compared to dumping on private once you've used all your turns on last day even if its only for $35. Not to mention that you have to have a large private market to be able to use the cash, otherwise you run the risk of further diminished return by purchasing expensive goods on the public market. It doesnt make sense to cash to like 8B cash then buy at $37 and sell because you've already lost significant value from the corruption... I'm pretty sure I did the calc once.
