I researched around 50 turns earlier and by the 2nd turn an earthquake fluffing leveled around 466 buildings. since my tpt is now lesser due to destroyed labs, does that mean that I spent more than 50 turns to complete the whole tech points I researched?

that sucked. why didn't earthquake occur at the very last turn.

No, if you batched 50 turns, you'll produce 50xTPT (at the start of the batch) over the full number of batched turns, even if your TPT changes several times during the batch.

It's the same with batch exploring.

What do you mean it's the same with exploring? If I earthquake during my explore my subsequent turns will produce less I'm pretty sure..

I think Palemoon meant that the average number of exp acres won't drop during batch explore even though individually the exp acres number is.

Yeah, if you start a batch of turns at a rate of 40a per turn, you will get (on average, due to variation) 40a for all of those batches turns, no matter how many 'explore rate break points' points you go through during the batch.

With teching, if you tech 10 turns at 500 tpt, and you get an earthquake on turn 1 of the batch, you'll still generate 5k tech over 10 turns.

If you teched 1 turn at a time and had an earthquake on the first turn, all subsequent turns would be teched at a lower TPT unless you rebuild the acres.

Oh okay, I didn't get what you meant. I thought you were saying production (cash, indy, food, w/e) couldn't drop during a batch explore, but of course earthquakes will fluff over production for any type of turns taken. Except teching.

pale moon I'm not too sure about that because when you tech batch, you key in the total points to tech not the number of turns to tech so if the earthquake happenned in the middle of your research, I believe Akira has used more turns than he wanted. I'm not 100% sure tho..

PaleMoon is correct. I used to play techer quite often on 1A back in the day. Otherwise If you batch tech'd, you'd run the risk of running out of food/money several times if a few random earthquakes hit you. Can you imagine losing 2x1000 acres then also having a few food shortages to polish it off because of the extra few turns needed to make up the difference?

How annoying. Dude only has 13k land *after the hit* and a crap set and is a tyrant and does a topfeed. I wish people like that just wouldn't play.

edit: Did he drop the land he gained? Jesus. Let's see, he had 14,874 land going in. He'd lost 3931 acres due to CMs and ABs, so say he dropped all that. That puts him down to 10,943 land before the topfeed. Making a 7275 acre grab, he should have 18,218 land right now, but like I said, he only has 13k, so he grabbed Serp and then dropped a bunch of the land... Wtf. He's literally just griefing.

I just seen those hits on the cloak that did look personal. 2 reps about to fight a war.

I don't think 163 and 32 are working together Serp. I don't know thought but im glad you at least went for an attempt at land land instead of a 1:1 hit. Still a big waste of turns and cash to your set.

I hit and hope it doesn't come back but even if it does I will just war. 32 is by far the biggest commie and at this point if aint gonna win may as well bust.

I think Bloodstone is just a bully. Didn't like being retaled, saw he could run over Cloaked in terms of grabbing, and then did so. Swell move if Cloaked doesn't fight back but it's safe to say he will.

Such a shame. Yeah, if some newb retals you maybe you can get away with that kind of move, but if someone like Cloaked does, then you grabbed the wrong person. Melting down over it does nothing but waste your round along with the innocent player you freaked out on.

I thought missiles had no effect on DR. Didn't know it hit ghost acre DR.

with prices sky high for everything I kinda figgered this set would be a writeoff. Dunno who would pick a fight with someone who has double your spal and 20 missiles though.

Missiles only affect ghost DR. so he would have only gotten more ghost acres if he grabbed before sending those missiles. The enemy would have lost the same acres, whether if its before the missiles launched or not.
