He broke the law in DC by possessing a high capacity magazine, and did so on national TV. He clearly broke the law.

Should he be held to a different standard than normal citizens? How can we prosecute ANYONE for this law now, while still claiming that the constitution's "equal protection" clause is being followed. If there is equal protection under the law, either David Gregory gets charged, convicted, and thrown in jail (for up to a year), or NO ONE gets charged under this law.

It's simply unconstitutional to not throw him in jail.

Rockman is right, bodyman!

Unfortunately in our society laws are not enforced justly for all. Take a celebrity or pro athlete for example. Often times they get much less of a punishment then a normal every day Joe Smith.

Doesn't make it right but it happens every day.

That's because it's all about the money. It's always all about the money. Look at OJ's case. At first, he HAD the money, hence he got away with murder, however, he didn't learn the difference between "not guilty" and "innocent", and the second time around, he didn't HAVE the money, thus he was convicted of the robbery charges. LOL

He asked for permission twice. once he was told yes, once he was told no. I'm not sure who was told no, vs. who was told yes, but I read that he was told that he could have it by 1 faction, and someone else said no.

ATF said yes local police said no. local law always prevails in that circumstance so therefore he did commit a crime. if he does not get charged and convicted (he wont serve the "up to one year" in jail, itll just be a slap on the wrist even if he does) it will set a precedent for future defense cases when someone is charged with possesion of a high capacity mag.

David Gregory unintentionally proved just how asinine DC's gun laws are.

Didn't you hear? Corporations are people. Which means you can put them in jail. So Mr. Romney, how exactly are you going to put a corporation in jail?

As a former security professional I can tell you that he wasn't the only person with a high capacity magazine in DC that day. There's a double standard being flashed about here, and it makes me sick. (personally).

The only double standard here is just this:
If i showed the same clip on the streets of DC,I would STILL be in the jailhouse.
