with all this self farming and land trading going on, there seems to be a big drop in the amount of untagged countries being farmed to carparks..perhaps most people are not even looking to hit them in fear of retalliation and so keep to their safe method of hitting themselves..lol.

just did a search on earthgraphs for all 673 untagged countries and there are tonnes with over even say 6k acres that havent even been hit in 24 hrs. there is a country with 45k acres that is on 0 DR atm!!??

I don't know that it's fear of retaliation. I think it's the fact that the hardcore netters know that it's just more efficient and effective to land trade between pairs of countries in the current atmosphere of FFA. You control your flow of land and it's easy to keep your countries relatively close on networth, since you're presumably playing the same strategy on countries you're land-trading with.

I do think it's all the more ridiculous when people claim that the untaggeds here are abused though. There are instances of this, of course, but ultimately there are a lot fewer people trying to land grab outside their own string of countries so it's more possible to netgain and grow as an untagged now than probably ever before.

I sure wouldn't mess with them. A good portion are likely restarts from warring alliances.

The "victim untags" got what they want. I am sure many clans will be adjusting our Retal Policies accordingly.

I agree with your assessmentt. It's not at all uncommon for warring tags to grow untagged before rejoining the war effort. It gives you the possibility of having saved turns for when you're killed again which can only help your new restarts.

it's also a good point to bring up with all the wars that the number of untaggeds that aren't really truly unaffiliated countries is higher.

Obviously many of the fatter countries RIU is referring to aren't likely to tag up CC or NBK or IMP to join the war effort, but I'm sure many of those smaller countries are from one of the clans at war. Once we get down to there being one week left in the set, we'll see how many of those are still untagged and being played.

Agreed. I only have 8 originals and I stopped restarting after that was all that CC was really killing.

Not that there was ever really early CF talk back then, but I remember FoCuS and us having those exact thoughts once we started to actually take the advantage back in the PAN, FoCuS v. NBK war.

It took like 2 weeks beyond when we started to really shift the tide of that war before I felt confident we were going to win because I just kept assuming like 100 new countries would pop into the tag and put the war back on your side.

I was just saying I had a similar feeling that a whole bunch of untaggeds would tag up NBK back the last time we warred you when it was the NBK v. xGD war. You guys obviously took the FS and hit us hard, and it took awhile to even the war back up, and as soon as we started winning, I kept thinking "this is starting to become a bit too easy, NBK must have something up their sleeve."

I'm very afraid of all untaggeds. Whenever I see one, I try to cross to the other side of the street so I don't get mugged.

And I NEVER go into dark alleys if I've seen any untaggeds around.
