You need to get in GDI before you attack anyone. After your first attack, you're stuck either in or out of GDI, until the rest of the set.

Ah I get it. I think they should do something with the game code to show that you cannot get into GDI then. I didn't get into GDI pre attacking(I heard about the double tap rule so I was going to do single taps) but I tried to get into it awhile later and it still said "join GDI". I clicked and it would basically refresh the page without an error telling me what I was doing wrong.
