I used to do FA as a TIE member, in TIEffa I did FA work, then head of war, then assistant leader, then we got destroyed by bots.. and I've hated FFA ever since.. though I did try it out again for 2 sets in CC

Yeah Junky I can't remember how I know you, I just remember your name from TIE. I did hang in TIE's IRC a lot back in 2004-2006. Helped with some warchats for you guys sometimes (especially when we were in joint wars). I was in MX at the time.

Ant used to spam up the MX IRC and forums as well.

Last time I was in SoF, we ended up helping SOL who was getting FS'd by LaF and 2 other alliances I believe...

SoF and SoL were good friends back in the old days.

I was one of SOL's closest allies for a while till I left the game.

Fact that you or sof and sol were close or even enemies in the past is meaningless, sov.

The simple truth is that while people in leadership position in the key clans do not let go of past grievances this game is bound to end up more often than not in pathetic wars and it is why it is not worth the time we spend playing it.

It is why, ironically (and I say this because I didn`t see eye to eye with him often when sof was suffering the slit years), I miss martian as president of SOF. He wasn`t beyond payback, but he often tried to make the game fun, and not just for SOF, during the times SOF was top dog, or close to it.

You are right. You should tell your leaders and their allies' leaders to let go of it.

I am unsure if we should have this chat in public, but...

Heh, funny you say that in a set where the tag I am in (but have no say) has been FS twice by overwhelming forces and had a balanced war in the previous set, while the tag you help run had on its hand the power to start balanced wars this set, but choose not to and then, after an apparent fail run at top TNW, ended up with another cakewalk where it is beyond obvious that old grudges were also a deciding factor for the FS.

Anyway, get back to me (or not) when you actually get SOF to fight balanced wars again. Posting in AT patting yourself in the back about how peaceful you are or how evil the others are doesn`t make the cut considering real actions taken and that SOF is in a key controlling position these past few sets.

Just to add, I did hear something similar to my previous post from a LAF leader and I did say something similar to ivan and maybe chaz.

Your alliance died because they touched Rival. Whilst you may feel bullied or picked on, others do not share your philosophy and I certainly do not buy into a policy of appeasement as a response to acts of aggression.

Pfft Eric, we've run alliances together in more then one case spanning over several years you should know me well enough by now that i dont try to pick easy wars but that I also dont back down from helping allies

helping an ally is only part of the history here. SOF has let allies crash and burn in much worse conditions than rival`s (which was going to lose 5 countries only).
