the last time i remembered having a virus problem was about a decade ago..the blaster32 worm..i'd never forget that, bastard kept restarting my pc as soon as i went online :(

the Nimda virus propagated through open IIS services. It was hard to stop. Once it got onto a network, it took out anything with open IIS services.

Dunno how flash gets installed/updated in mac but flash gets updated through repos in linux. also, java isnt used anymore, openjdk replaces java in linux downloaded through repos as well.
