If people are lying and being deceitful they too take this game and themselves way to seriously. I don't care who that might offend. It is just a game. There is no reason to be deceitful. If they truly have lied to you then they aren't worth the time it takes to even make a post about it. Just realize they can't be trusted and play your game accordingly.

Isn't that the way you live life? If someone is a known liar when they tell you something you verify it before you act on it or believe it. If it can't be verified one way or another you just go on the assumption they are lying.
