Get rid of the farms and oil rigs, drop the indies to about 400-800, and get at least 200 construction sites. Also work on getting your business and residential techs up closer to 170% and get weapons tech and strategy tech as your 3rd and 4th techs, not agricultural and industrial.

Oil rigs might be okay... I've logged on a lot of times and there's been no oil

Cash buildings don't produce "income" linearly. i.e. the higher your PCI, the more effective the rest of your buildings are. This is more true especially for techers and somewhat cashers. For farmers/oilers/indies it doesn't matter really as it's only depdendent on your tech levels.

With his cash tech levels are semi decent levels, he should tear down the indies and rigs and sell the indy tech to reinvest into higher levels of bus/res.

To explain it a bit more in depth than Trep...

The higher your PCI, the more it helps having more population.
The higher your population, the more it helps having a higher PCI.

Each enterprise zone increases the "effectiveness" of your residences, and each residence increases the "effectiveness" of your enterprise zones.

Each residence gives you 24 extra population at 35% tax rate and 150% residential tech. If you have 50 PCI, you will get $17.5 per civilian, or $420 total from that residence. If you have 40 PCI, you will get $14 per civilian, or $336 from that residence.

And I could use similar math to show that a higher population means that each enterprise zone helps more.

To sum it up, the higher the portion of your land that is comprised of enterprise zones and residences, the more productive each building will be.

This contrasts with farms, industrial complexes, and oil rigs, which are just as productive (ignoring the effect of tech) regardless of what portion of your land they occupy.

Ah, I was aware how labs work and it would be bad for a techer to have labs. Hadn't before realized why it would be bad for a casher also
