personally, i really prefer the flavor to the "normal" dew. not to mention the lack of hfcs is nice, if for no reason other than i feel like i'm not supporting the huge corn lobby.
cane sugar ftw etc.

basically it's the old formula of dew before they changed the sweetner to high fructose corn syrup. it uses cane sugar instead. it still tastes like dew, but it's 10x better, imho.

i'm not sure how it tastes new vs old, tbh. i just know that throwback tastes better than any other dew you can get right now.
should be able to find some in a convenience store or grocery store. get some and try it.

This stuff's been out for about 2 years now up here - there is definitely a noticeable taste difference, but I guess it comes down to which version you grew up drinking.

If I still drank soda, I'd definitely prefer the Throwback over the current version. It's not quite as sweet, but there's something to be said for getting away from enough artificial sweetener to give the bottle cancer.

Yes Pain, it's their recipe from the 80's/90's.

Pepsi Throwback is absolute win as well.

You can get Pepsi and Coke in glass bottles still in a lot of places - I would assume Dr. Pepper too.

the only time i really drink soda anymore is if i go to a sit down restaurant, i will order a coke or pepsi, same thing anyway... or when its being mixed with some sort of liquor... but i dont do much drinking anymore... other than that its water, tea, or gatorade... especially with the recent heat, i cant stand a soda when its hot outside :P

but i did try the mountain dews when they were doing the contest, they were all meh at best

had my first Mountain Dew a few weeks ago - dayglo green-yellow stuff that looked as though it'd be more at home under the reactor at Fukushima

tasty stuff, but pretty sure it has the same effect on the drinker as Fukushima meltdown byproducts

beer is at least pure-ish

Don't drink sodas much anymore never liked mountain dew when I take a drink I feel like it's rotting my teeth.

And the acid in coca cola feels like it's eating my throat.

Dr Pepper is good. But water is mostly all I drink.
