Detmer, I am only a few hours away living in Hudson WI, not sure you would like a LAFer hanging out with you though :P

I am outside eagle river wisconsin myself, but I am in a gem show on the 15th 16th and the 17th is my 64th birthday. so would like to make it but dont think its happening. but would be interested in another time. I have met up with junky, lucifer, kitty, gecko and crag.
I could bring my special ahhh veggie brownies and my sardine pies.
it would blend great with now3p's goodies.

bru, too bad you can't make it. I wouldn't say it is fair to call me a rock hound, but I do love rocks, gems, minerals. (I am more or less a geologist by education.)

lol@bru! mmmm.....brownies! Last time I took a stab at those, I added too much oil, and ended up with 'vegetable' oil that tasted like butter.

I'm on the sane side of the river - about 15 min west of Minneapolis. Have been through your neck of the woods a few times - I've camped in Nicolet, North Highland, and Ottowa national parks.

And sorry guys, my weekend just got shot to fluff - working fri/sat, and the wifey has 2 photo shoots on Sunday, so I'll be stranded with the little ones. :-(
