We need better UX when it comes to browsing player game profiles.

I think one big use case is finding out who someone was after the set, which is typically from people who would not be interested in publishing it to their forum (or who have multiple forum accounts). I don't think that would hurt, but it's typically not the folks who are easy to find that is the needed for a search.

Both - certainly there have been cases where people self-delete to try and remove that connection (though you can find it if you search their profile, which is tricky when you don't know who they are).

Basically the trick works like this:

1. Record all the top 100 scores
2. Once the set ends record updated top 100 scores. (takes like a day or two)
3. Subtract #2 from #1.
4. Match #3 results to ending scores of set.

What does this do?
It identifies players who are in top 100 which countries they played, regardless if their profile is public or not. If you've done this for awhile like me you would catch those anonymous players identify who their country was one set and forever be able to know who they were.

What I've noticed recently:
The top 100 goes beyond 100 now & the anonymous tags appear to be gone.

When it doesn work:
If a player dies or the player wasn't in top 100; but, from looking at the scores now it seems the top 100 has been expanded.

This page should have a link to the game profile automatically with no option to turn it off.

I could add game profile links for the default handles of forum users. In a future change set, there could also be a game profile link for dead/deleted countries added to the ingame search results.

I just don’t want to pay $10 a month hosting a site that only like 5 ppl use, otherwise I’d just put up a site that showed them all.

Forum posts now have game profile links for posts made by forum accounts which are the default handles of game accounts. I hope this is useful.
