We are curious in knowing (only for FFA)

1) what do you think of the restart changes?
2) is there anything you would like tweaked?
3) In terms of restarting do you find this change enabling or restrictive?
4) What is the most abusive thing you can think of doing with this change (within the game rules)? If you don't want to answer 4 here, pm me.

I'm asking this now because my experience with FFA is admittedly limited and it's possible that for FFA this might not work as intended which may/may not be a big deal.

I'm jumping the gun a bit because the reset hasn't ended yet.
But I think that the more generous amounts of land towards the end of the set leave you with too few turns to really abuse it..

1. its good (I experienced both bugged and "working" change).

2. player is broke and w/o much defense when gets oop so easy target to kill (and if market sucks as it sucked on this set player will be broke w/o FA).

3. its bit restrictive (outside 2) since in case of death player needs to spend all bonuspoints as soon as gets those so no saving and of course if gets killed before monday then no bonus from posting to forums.

4. usual all-jetter farming every1.

or give 120 cs's to all restarts

Its a big advantage as it stands having not to start with 100 acres, wars will go forever with more advatnage IMO.

Just more $$. What is the point of 330 CS if I can only afford to build 25 bpt instead of 80?

Spending turns cashing because I cannot explore seems like a waste. Maybe less CS and more $$.

ive been destroying almost half my CS and rebuilding it as farms or IC's. seems to work ok although u do lose some cash in that process

I'm pretty neutral on the subject tbh. But if you think the cs count is too high then solid examples of why it should be lowered would be useful (as opposed to the argument that some people make that you should get more cash).

The reason why we don't do a % of what you had before death is that that is very highly affected by how you are killed. It's also very abusable unless we set the percent to something very low in which case it's innefective.

From my experiences talking to people on alliance I notice that people who have had to restart give very different people from people in tags with far fewer restarts which I find interesting.

you could always drop your land to 1 acre/sell all your military/ and get someone to kill a country just to experience restarting:P

restart retals are fun however

my restarts cs's varied from ~130 to over 140 so countries needed to spend different amount of turns to cs's to get desired bpt before building farms or indies and that lead to some difficulties when preparing for 1st batchexplore.

the bonus points and stored turns are already a huge advantage, so i would prefer a cap on the land/CS and a slight raise in cash

however, i would support giving back a higher % for countries killed that have made no special attacks on other countries... basically people that get killed while netting peacefully... this could also help lower the FS advantage since most of the time people choose to FS smaller clans

as for countries that are involved in an active war, i feel the numbers should be lowered or just cap at a certain amount

overall, its not too bad as it is now, but i feel like it is just a bit too much for ffa since we get 16 countries

what about more cash (like enough to build on 3/4s of land given) plus the option to tare down any/all cs for free prior to playing any turns? Or is that headed in the wrong direction?

that sounds more like a fair option. giving people who dont want CS the option to get rid of them to play more turns and leaving those who care more about building quality restarts the opportunity to do so at a faster rate.

make new country more similar to last one, dont just base off of turns played.

like i had 1400 CS, i restarted with 360
someone with no CS, would restart with 360 too just cause they played same # of turns

and even with that, could only build 9 turns worth of buildings with the starting cash. more starting cash is necessary... otherwise what, i have a restart @ turn 99 with 120 BPT cause i couldnt explore more, so i just built more CS? lolz

You all are complaining about the cash a restart has, this is FFA, if a country restarted, supposedly someone in your clan is still alive, or another one of your 15 is. A simple FA fixes all of your issues :P

Now if you didn't want an FA, you say what do you do with the turns you are burning to get more cash?
You can kill (if you died, one can assume there is someones who killed you), you can cash, you can as llaar said, build more CS, or landgrab someone (even a restart can break 40% of FFA if you can get within NW range).

IF FA is available then no problem AND IF bushels market doesn't suck as badly as it did on this set.

well yes 30k land on a restart is alot.. maybe tier it. like anyone over 50k gets 5% anyone over 100k land gets 3% and anyone over 150k gets 1%, theres a reason u got that much land.. and its not hard work.. it was landtrading so u might as well suffer and drop some land

building up 30k acres takes long and player could get re-killed before that.

the cash issue isnt a big problem, even with having to cash a few turns for extra money, i still ended up with over 2300 buildings at turn 99 (playin a fasc farmer)... so you are already way ahead of a normal restart... then once you hit turn 100 you can get some FA

marshal ur not getting my point. if it was 10% like i suggested that means they had 300k land.. only real way to get that much is to land trade which means they didnt really put in alot of work

gambit: that depends point of set and how much land etc you had, bigger gets more while small suffers.

personally I think that is the wrong direction but that may be the product of dealing with suiciders all set.

Perhaps if you make it so you self delete any of your countries that none of them ever get the restart bonuses. Then I wouldn't mind the other changes.

hmm: Right now we only have it so if the country that self deleted doesn't get the restart bonuses but the others ones do. Although imo what you say is more in keeping in line with the intent.

A mod delete would mean all your countries get deleted (we wouldn't delete just on) and yeah you wouldn't get any restart bonuses then.

you cant get FA while under protection

so after the first 9 turns of building, i have 91 turns that i cant get FA or attack or spy with, so those turns are pretty useless

allow FA to a restart right away?

I obviously didn't mean right away, I meant as soon as possible. You might actually have to come up with a... new strat, oh noes! I can think of a few things I can do that don't involve burning all of the turns cashing, or building CS, and the list of things goes up when you are in a war.

Also, why do people have problems with building more CS, most of the netters on the server have 400+ anyway, a restart doesn't have near that many. (When it is possible to build up the bulk of the land anyway).

If you really want to improve this game you need to adjust the software to block all FA to any country not in clan tag. Two. You need to place a box in the tag holders country to accept a war declaration from another clan so one has to be sent and one has to be received and both clans have to agree to it and upon agreeing a 48 hour window will commence and all countries in tag will be blocked from playing turns for 48 hours and the war will start and there will be a war clock posted so all can see it and no outside tag will be able to attack any member in either of those two tags. Three. Once killed you restart and all attacks to and from that restart will be blocked until he breaks the 1 million net worth barrier. Four. No one may join the tag on either side for any reason unless they were in tag before the declaration of war was accepted. Do that then I think we will have a better game to play. If not it will be the same old crap set after set until everyone finally says screw it> No FUN ANYMORE. And from what I can see you have already started losing players from the crap. Those fixes will solve about 90 percent of the crap in game we have now. See what you can do
