i played D3 (on PC) ad nauseum and quit about 3 months ago, never looked back.

now 2 of my friends want to play on the xbox with me couch coop.

I feel like i will be bored in like 15 minutes.. but they're coming over this weekend and thats what they're bringing. Is the console version ANY different? Is the playstyle fun enough that I won't want to pull all my hair out having already "beat" this game?

I wish there were more couch coop games, Dance Party doesn't qualify.

Hopefully it's on the XBone and not the 360.. since the 360 didn't even get the 2.1 patch.

I had a buddy who picked up Diablo RoS when it hit consoles, and he only plays couch co-ops with his friends, and they're having a blast. That also seems like the general concensus about D3 on the console as well. It actually feels pretty fluid and local games are fun. That being said, online play on consoles sucks since alot of accounts are hacked and you'll come accross people that are Plvl 10k and do millions of damage. Also, since you're playing through the same content again, it might be boring.

I'd say give it a shot, you could be surprised.

BUTTMAN the classic hook of the Diablo series is not necessarily "beating" the game ie storymode, but rather continually killing harder and harder enemies to get better loot.

I've only played a couple of public games since I've owned it, but really I find it a lot more fun playing with galleri, trife or pain when he's on, coop.
