:'(
I have to confess, I wasn't much of an environmentalist before now. This is awful though. Tar balls found in Texas.
That's home for me. I haven't been able to talk to anyone locally to find out how much oil has actually washed up in Texas. I've stopped believing stuff I hear on the news about the spill.
"There's no oil leaking."
"It's only a thousand gallons a day leaking."
"No more than twenty thousand gallons a day leaking."
"There are no plumes of oil, it's all on the surface."
"The chances of oil washing up in Texas are really low."
"Only five gallons of tar washed up in Texas."
Somehow, I just don't feel that five gallons was all that showed up. Even if it was, it's probably the calm before the storm. I'm dreading when news gets back to me that Port Arthur looks like it does here.
I've got a list of people I'm not voting for when their terms are up and am likely to help with the campaigns for anyone running against them. =/
