Earlier in the set I attacked a guy once (that's 1 time) for land. The next day he ABs me 50 times. Okay, fine.

Yesterday I attacked a guy for land. I got a message from him that was incredibly pleasant. Very nice, conversational, asked a few questions about my strategy and ended with a thanks.

I'm really glad people like that second guy exist. No message or anything from the first guy. Sigh.

and everybody on this server has their own personal retal policies, it is what makes this server fun, you don't know what your going to get when you attack.

some people just start farming the fluff out of you. then you talk 1 on 1 and become allies.

I will go nuts with ABs for multiple grabs, but not one. Moral of the story: Have tanks.

So don't be a fluff. It's not that hard, and if you check news to make sure they haven't been farmed recently and send a message you will usually be good.

I never say sorry. I usually say something like "just a grab, I will avoid you in the future, good luck moving forward" or something like that. Don't apologize, then you just sound like a sissy.

jj, do you mean retal as in build your country buy jets and press the attack button, or do you mean suicide?

i retal every hit against me, regardless of message (unless they don't break, then i often let it go)

but if i hit you once and said sorry, you'd go out of your way to retal where you otherwise would have let it go?

that sounds like a lot of effort, like a lot of needless animus :(

Tertius - I 5tapped him because it was him. No other reason. I didn't send a note until he retalled, and then I sent a nasty note. Fair enough?
