Thanks for more than likely costing me #1 :-/

Just over 6m net between lost military in your grab, lost cash/tech etc, lost military in retal and rebuilding costs, then your CDs on me and the lost day and a half of reselling.

No you moronic imbecile. I ran CD's on the top ranked Lords country during the last few hrs of the set. I was curious if it was you. That country wasn't going to finish top 10 let alone first anyway.

If another FBI country attacked you you deserved it. But your country doesn't ring a bell and I never authorized any hits on it. But I am only a figurehead. The real power in FBI lies with anybody who isn't me.

Ya I deserved it, nice use of language. I was tagged dbd3, and finishing ~52m net and losing ~10m to FBI guy.. Lord hummungus was country I believe..

I'm not Lord hummungus's keeper. Frankly he scares the bejeebers out of me. But admitting you deserved it shows you take responsibility for your actions.

But for our FBI records I need more clarification of your losses. You stated in your first post over 6mil net loss due to various FBI actions. In your last post you state 10mil lost to the FBI guy. Which is it? I need to balance our books. Am I missing something? I am easily confused.

You guys got it all wrong. You think it's all fun and games in FBI. It may appear that way but the books need to be in proper order. Venders need to be paid. Salaries must be paid. Sleazy motel bills must be paid. The list goes on and on.

It's not easy having a large peni.

Detmer a hypocrite? Colour me shocked.

So Detmer; it was OK for you to retal me with ~20 ab's after 1 grab a few sets ago, because 'who am I to tell you how you can retal' however me retailing 2 to 1 when the first was a DH, when your boy spitefully grabbed a 95% converted TMBR just as he was about to destock.. That's over retalling?

Hypocrite? I don't recall saying FBI accepts the same retals it gives? You would of course have to contact our leader about that.

Well I have to say that I am a bit surprised at FBIs sudden stint of attacks on DBD.

We have never caused any problems with FBI in the past and then Lord Humoungus thinks its fun to LG all DBD teams in one and the same day. Then he gets retalled (still being up quite a bit in acres) and at the end freaks out and practically suicides one of our countries out of his end ranks.

I have to say I am not impressed with that kind of behaviour considering that we have done nothing to deserve that at all.

Just my opinion of course, I am sure you guys will ignore it.

On the other hand I repulse the idea that a new war is inevitable; still more that it is imminent. It is because I am sure that our fortunes are still in our own hands and that we hold the power to save the future, that I feel the duty to speak out now that I have the occasion and the opportunity to do so. I do not believe that Soviet Lords desires war. What they desire is the fruits of war and the indefinite expansion of their power and doctrines. But what we have to consider here to-day while time remains, is the permanent prevention of war and the establishment of conditions of freedom and democracy as rapidly as possible in all countries. Our difficulties and dangers will not be removed by closing our eyes to them. They will not be removed by mere waiting to see what happens; nor will they be removed by a policy of appeasement. What is needed is a settlement, and the longer this is delayed, the more difficult it will be and the greater our dangers will become.

From what I have seen of our Russian friends and Allies during the war, I am convinced that there is nothing they admire so much as strength, and there is nothing for which they have less respect than for weakness, especially military weakness. For that reason the old doctrine of a balance of power is unsound. We cannot afford, if we can help it, to work on narrow margins, offering temptations to a trial of strength. If the Western Democracies stand together in strict adherence to the principles of the United Nations Charter, their influence for furthering those principles will be immense and no one is likely to molest them. If however they become divided or falter in their duty and if these all-important years are allowed to slip away then indeed catastrophe may overwhelm us all.

That is seven attacks on seven different tags. I would say that is the opposite of targeting.

Well then we are in disagreement over what is considered targeting something but be that as it may.

I see it as quite the unnecessary provocation even though they are three separate teams. What then tipped it overboard was suiciding on one DBD member afterwards as well and effectively ruining his end NW. Perhaps it was seen as amusing and something to do towards the end of the reset but I fail to see the fun of it myself.

How is retalling suiciding? #74 could have retalled #14 initially however the retal was passed on to #129 with the stipulation that if he wanted to treat that as a land grab he was welcome to but then would later retal #14. If landgrabs were no longer possible on #14 then CDs would be used. This was spelled out in advance. Had FBI not had to spend resources killing at the end of the round I expect #74 would have seen a significantly better finish as the fruits of his grabbing.

It just looks like he hit once on every netting tag. Most groups took their one retal and moved on. In general, if you get a DH then you forfeit your retal, but LT hit him again.

Later in the set, another DBD3 player hit him (DH) as well.

It really doesn't look like targeting, but it also doesn't look like a reason to mass CD someone.

I also think LT is exaggerating his networth lost, especially as the amount seems to change like the size of a fish you caught that one summer that was thiiiiiis big.

I lost 6 million from actual hit/rebuild/lost stock etc

I lost 1.5 days of reselling also estimating to a total of 10m lost as I was a full MBR with 90% mil tech

Detmer you have played this game long enough not to have to ask those kinds of questions. As I said I understand you were trying to provoke something but we are peaceful netgainers and will stay that way. I just thought it quite silly.

So your answer is dogma? I reject dogma as a reason for how I play today and I certainly support others who do what they want as well.

In my opinion we don't try to provoke things. We are aggressive and over react perhaps, but I don't think we do any individual thing in an effort to turn it into a war.
