I am not an aggressive landgrabber myself, but asking to live in your bubble and be put on DNH usually doesn't work. The key to not being grabbed is carrying enough defense to make it a slight challenge and retalling hits. You can usually make more land this way than all-xp.

The point is not to make more land, it is to avoid conflict on this server full of flufftards.
