Thanks for your replies, Pang and Slagpit. My initial concern was about people reporting cheaters, not your cheater catching methods. I was told by a player he was going to report me from hurt feelings from a land grab. That is as far as I can gather the only thing to cause me to become "suspicious." I received his triumphant note in my inbox, then minutes later my country was gone. Not knowing why I was being deleted was frustrating, especially since as far as I was concerned I had not violated any rules on behavior and gameplay.

Rockman, I admire your passion for the game, and sticking up for the mods, but it's irrelevant. I have nothing against the moderators. I understand the appeal is in process, but while it was relevant I wanted to voice my concerns about the process.

My country was deleted, you're correct. I'm not making false accusations though, I was simply stating that in order for me to have a fair appeal, and to make the most complete argument for my case, I should have access to the game information they are basing their decision upon. Criminals (cheaters) in real life at least get to know what they are accused of. They also get to know what evidence is used against them. Facts or evidence is presented so they can make their case and argue the facts they deem relevant. I would love to know of what my "flagrant violation" is considering I have not been told of it.

I don't consider my different understanding of the situation to warrant in your words, "making false accusation against the moderators of the game". In you're attacking my credibility, without any knowledge of the situation, I'd just like to know how I go about disagreeing with their decision and appealing without in essence saying I believe them to have made an error in their decision? Your subtle ad hominem condensation throughout your posts is duly noted however. Thanks for your concern in the matter.

Thanks for the quick response.

My only contention. You're not told of your violation, only that the accounts been deleted. Not allowing people access to information seems unwarranted. Deleting the account is different from suspending or freezing it. If someone is accusing me of something, if you determine guilt using game information, shouldn't I have access to it during my appeal? If it's based on non-game information, such as server logs and IP data, then I understand that.

If people are found to be reporting users who are not violating the rules, is there any action for inconveniencing those accounts with deletion and having to appeal?

I understand that this is the system the game operates under, and I can accept that. I was mainly voicing my opinion about possible improvements moving forward. Once again, thanks for your response.

I have a problem with your system of reporting cheaters Earth Empires.

It seems to favor people making spurious claims. A report causes an accounts deletion, and then that player must appeal.

If a report is made about a cheater, shouldn't you review the account and facts before deleting? Perhaps send some notice that they've been reported so they can gather news and battle reports to aid in their case before you remove access to the questionable account? Do you immediately side with whoever reports the issue and presume the other person is guilty?

This hardly seems fair, and is an unwarranted inconvenience to deal with when people want to abuse the reporting system to their advantage.

Had I known this, I wouldn't have played your game, where sore loser can get a country removed without cause.
