Thanks guys, all very interesting.. I guess everyone does it slightly different. I'm just trying to figure out how to get from top 20 finishes to top 10 and eventually hopefully top 5..3..1

i like to build them all fast. definitely a lot more than 20 bpt.. last set i had 70 bpt.. what does everyone else think. is 260 construction sites too many for an express set?

What do you guys think is the most effective # of construction sites to build in an express set? do you build them all right off the bat?

On the same topic of resource decay...

Does anyone know, or has anyone ever done the math to know if it is worth it to do a 150 turn batch explore as a farmer to get from 4k to 8k acres with all the decay you're going to suffer over those 150 turns on the food you're producing...

I wonder if the extra land you gain is worth more than the food you lose by doing a large batch explore as a farmer?

I kinda think it's better just to use the bonus for turns the whole way.. 8 turns added on to the end of your set could probably pay for your gdi expenses for the whole set

hsifreta... how do you know who everyone is during the game? I know Alin uses the same country name every set, but how do you know everyone else? I always see people in the forums talking about what other people are doing, I just don't know how people know what country name matches up with someones forum name.

i sold like 40 million bushels with an hour left in the set for 39 and food was at 60 at the very end so you probably could have sold it for ~45-50.

first top 25 finish for me! 3rd week playing

k... i think i was prepared to have a pretty decent set. i'm a total noob. my country is #46 and this guy just totally ruined my set haha. he's clearly a bigger noob than i am though. how do I kill someone and completely destroy his country? what does it take to make a country dead?? lol i need to know at this point. forget about this set, i want to destroy him!

I agree, I think it's worth getting the first 2 18 hour bonuses and maybe 1 or 2 12 hour bonuses after that. But I still don't understand why they reward you for staying offline for 18 hours. I think they should just take it out all together, but what do I know I'm just a noob.

What did you guys mean when you said free GDI? how do you get free GDI?

lol that was me KoH. I was Canadia. But I didn't know what I was doing, I was just hitting all types of people, and most of them got me back. One player messaged me and told me I shouldn't be attacking so much, and he helped me out a bunch from there. I really had no clue what I was doing back then, I had no strategy at all. But I'm getting a little bit better now. Not much though

What strategy do you recommend for a casher going into the final day of the set to have a strong high net finish?

Should I still be grabbing from people?

Should I just save my money and stock up cheap tech and maybe cheap military at the end?

Which prices would you expect to go up and which prices would you expect to go down?

any tips would be appreciated. just learning the game, only my second week. I'm sitting in top 25 now and I'd like to have a top 25 finish

the problem with the alliance server is that when I first started playing it, I knew literally nothing so I kinda butchered my set in alliance. but if you really want me to join then i'd love to come learn about the game and try help out

And how do you maximize your returns then? sometimes I grab from someone between 1/2 and 2/3 my networth with very little army, and lots of unused land and I'll only get like 40-100 acres. then other times I grab from very similar people and I get like 500 acres or something

What is the point in the market history when it's not even accurate? If you look at the history for the last 5 hours on oil barrels it says minimum 132 maximum 132 which is not true at all. I was paying 200 for oil just two hours ago and it's been 200+ basically all day. does anyone know why it isn't accurate?
