Yeah, I was planning to go tank nuts on "Gimme Land" after three visits from him in 2 days, but I have to stock for 5 days and then blow it on the land I have now. By the time I did that, he wouldn't remember hitting me lol

Yeah, I forgot the farm start has been nerfed. Rep farmer is no longer viable. Demo farm, Fasc farm, or mon farm to dict/tyr would be ok, but no rep farm.

Rep casher will outperform a farmer, acre per acre, but farmers are easier to get rolling with. If you can carry more defense early, sometimes that will help you get more land from beginning to end, but anyone running a casher with similar acreage will be making mroe than you.

Well I haven't played express much lately, but it used to be the set was too short for cashers to get rolling. Rep cashers tend to get landfat, with the explore bonus and all. Commies should still always be fatter, because to run that strat correctly is to grab a ton. :) Look for fat reps. :P

Paladin - Allow me to redact and rephrase. Perhaps snawdog would be better off asking why you, of all people, are not defending PDM?

TAN - I am basing my perception of you only on my dealings with you. We never get anywhere. Same with Detmer. You guys try to have everything both ways, and negotiation doesn't work that way. Both sides need to see a benefit to agree to something. I wasn't talking about anything that went down with you and llaar, I said we are supposed to be long time natural allies because that's how the senior leadership at NA mostly views PDM, but PDM still fluffs on us with the "not a topfeed" hits.

EDIT - and now you have refused to pact me the last two sets, not vice versa, so I still fail to see the relevance of your post.

This could apply for FFA, or you could have it "save" your startup for any restarts that round and automatically run the same first 100 (or 99) turns. Of course, you'd have to log in for it to happen.

As I said on the other thread:

What about programming a 100 turn startup into your country? Tell the game "follow me," and it does that same 100 turns for all of your other FFA countries simultaneously, can't work out of protection.

Yes, boost ops generally! Bomb buildings is terrible, completely pointless. Espionage is only OK if you are a fat indy producing tons of units on those turns, then it MIGHT be better than cashing endgame. More of the ops should benefit the country doing them. I should get more food for raiding food stores, I should take money when I bomb banks.

SR, CD, Demo and airbases are good. Banks, food stores, buildings and espionage need pumping up.

Hmm, I thought Brink was the main force behind LCN starting, and he and helmet both left Omega following the Tiger/RoCK wars over Omega's refusal to shoot first?

That's my recollection anyway, it was a long time ago and I was playing in Sky Elitez. I joined SOF when they formed, and might not really have gotten the whole story.

Since Omega fought RoCK in the Tiger bot war in 98, they had to be around by 97, or else they couldn't have already been a threat worth going after in 98 right?

Or was that 99?

After that, SOF and LCN split off Omega. Omega's time at the top was quite brief.

Z, you missed the qualifier. BIG EAST basketball is a contact sport. There is a reason they once allowed 6 fouls in Big East games. Those guys body each other up a lot. Properly played, basketball should be a contact sport. Setting screens, boxing out, bodying up in the post, etc.

So nobody wants to give UConn any props for beating 4 t25 teams in a 5 game, 5 day stretch?

In the playoffs, baseball players play two games, travel, play two games, travel. In the CWS they don't play 5 games in a round and they always get a day off between rounds. Besides, Big East basketball is a contact sport, baseball is for pretty boys lol

Guy on the radio said, repeatedly, that they are the first team in any sport, at any level to win 5 games in 5 days to capture a postseason tournament. To do that in the insanely loaded Big East this year is nothing short of astonishing.

Look how much Neely dropped off after that. He had been one of the top wingers in hockey. His one good year after the hit came with Adam Oates as his center, and everyone who ever played with Oates had their best year as his linemate (Hull, Bondra, etc).

I didn't read the whole thread, but I want to toss out that the new bonuses add some randomness. With normal spy ops there is no way for me to account if you've sunk all your points into defense, so if I calculate to oversend 10%, I may end up not even close.
