I don't think either view is good for the game between the purely:

(kill anything you want, any time you wish to, for any reason you wish to)
VS.
(you do not have to interact with any other alliance/ country in the game and have no repercussions for your actions both socially as well as in-game)

There is a balance we should reach to foster a game that can grow past the handful of vets left.

It would be 2,750,000 jets for the full 10% pang bounce factor. 2.6 million is just short of that, increasing your chance to bounce randomly.

EDIT: I didn't read all of the posting here, but in case you do not know, you must send an additional 10% to ensure you prevent a random DH due to what we call Pang'd – in Earth: 2025, it was Mehul'd

Bots are still throttled AFAIK. I haven't ever seen a bot that could post the news as fast as we get it at times.

There are ways you could try to batch multiple messages into one discord message but that would slow down the info and could cause you to fail at walling. Not that the current alert systems don't have a lag time either...

I think the game allows a country to be killed too fast, tho, but that is a different discussion.

The bottom line is Discord isn't great for the type of alerts/feeds we have for EE, not if time is critical, that is.

Discord is great for general chat and communication tho.

Now that it is a new year, do we have any updates on the work there?

I think it is important to have some balance in the game in that people should be able to pick how they play for the most part. I would prefer if that still involves some clan-clan cooperation – enforce pacts in the game, but that may not be feasible?!?

It's probably to add some variability to the game. It also requires you to incorporate some strategy in navigating GDI bots from a grabbing perspective.

I want bots to be marked by the game so as not to enable people _trying_ to hide as a bot for whatever reason(s) they may have.

What rationale was there to mark them on express? I would imagine that would be valid on all servers.

It doesn't appear that the eestats server has been turned off, as it is just refusing connections, which may mean he is still paying for the server. However, I cannot be sure, but that would negate his previous complaint about the $15 per month running cost.

Qz could confirm this if the Eestats API is still hitting earth for data.

As for EEstats, I am not sure why everyone feels entitled to it. Gains is under no obligation to provide it.

I will say that Bore did transfer it to someone he believed would keep it going. If that is not the case, maybe it should be transferred again to someone who will keep it up for the community.

Devs that play EE and make stuff for people at their own cost and time do not owe anyone anything, though.

@qz – eestats.com is the type of site that should prob be managed by EE staff, as it is something many people in the community use to play the game. The game itself does need better support, but again, that takes dev time. This might be a situation where you need to pause your ClanGDI work to get something in place for smaller clans/solo players who might quit over this.

You attacked, doubled down on rhetoric, and made key people (the leaders) mad at you... Even when I (and a few others) talked them into letting you join Darkness to play with us, all you could do was brag about how you would take all the free knowledge we were giving you to destroy us!

This has been brought up before, but should we pivot back to implementing pacts into the game? So an unbreakable pact is truly unbreakable, etc. **This post isn't to get into all the implementation details to prevent loopholes...

From a user's perspective, from a development, testing, and successful deployment, would this be a more straightforward change that gets most of what some people want while maintaining a certain level of uncertainty that others cherish from Earth: 2025?

My fear with ClanGDI is that it is a complex solution for what should be a pretty simple outcome. It will require much more testing and work from a developer perspective to successfully pull it off, and I wonder if we should expect Qz to spend that much time on it.
