I may not have thought about it through completely. At a first read through though I do feel it makes compromises on communication, diplomacy and alliance building. Whether to help each other netgain, get protection from gaining, or forming war alliances.
The reason we (Apoc) and myself played this game 20+ years ago and why we came back is 100% because of the community interaction, the unintended consequence of a rich social game that this otherwise numbers game created. The intricacies of creating pacts, allying up, making threats, responding to threats makes this game great on Alliance.

It's actually pretty good. Also discovered Yuengling 4-5 years ago. This is my go to light beer.

The age old dichotomous categorization of "left and right" is severely outdated. Also, the terms "liberals and conservatives" is used today without the historical and political knowledge in the context of philosophy of social and economic ideologies. The paradox lies in what is happening in America today. Left and right American working class have far more in common as far their relationship and interaction with access to healthcare, sub-employment, unemployment, education, infrastructure and overall quality of life as shown by many metrics (gini index, mortality rate, ypsos happiness index, etc). Mass media and social media (creation of the so called echo chambers) keeps us socially divided and polarized. This is all controlled by the incestuous relationship of corporate elite and government. Democracy lies in the economic/financier sphere of our Western society. It has been a long time since democracy resided within the social structures of institutions made to keep it in the "deimos".

They sell we buy, but it is not only material products (regardless of necessity) but we also consume the ideologies that keep us in that loop.
A perfect example of the realization of the common thread of working class, regardless of right/left identities, was the dissolution of "differences" between the working class in France. They've historically always been at the forefront of breaking the fence of division to unite against the common enemy. The internal enemy that keeps them from materializing their liberal idea of "egalite fraternite et liberte". Our liberal commonality, even though old, is not yet démodé; "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness". We are at an infant stage of social effervescence with consequences.

The lack of nuance in our language, our enslavement to social media and ideological consumerism leads many to believe we are headed for a civil war. I am pessimist in that notion and tend to agree. But I grew up in an United States of America that nags at my consciousness that it is more than capable of an opposite outcome. I remember when "neighbor" used to mean more than "republican or democrat".

OK yeah, that's what I have been taking it as when I first started re-learning FR in EE. So, it's basically a "we won't war this set, sign here"? As in the "u" in unbreakable?

Right. I'm not really asking about this war specifically. I understand there is a lot more going on than just what I asked.
My question is basically; Clan A and clan B are at war, clan C sends FA to clan A, clan B would be within their rights to contact clan C about the FA and sort it out if they have no binding agreements. Or does clan B directly take the FA as an event that would trigger a war on clan C?

Asking for a bit of clarification here:

FA'ing an enemy country (LaF's enemy) in a war you are not involved in is grounds for repayment/reparations according to uNAPs, specifically LaF's uNAP, is this correct? I think I remember this when reading the uNAP Gains sent me.

If this uNAP was broken or canceled by LaF, then it would basically allow Evo to send FA to any country and LaF to do the same without any consequence to either clan. Also read as, if LaF is canceling a pact that has those specifics in their uNAP and they initiated the termination, it must be known to LaF that they are ceasing to hold Evo accountable for FA to any country. At this point, if Evo assists a country that is at war with LaF with FA only, it would trigger some sort of FR communication that isn't necessarily written anywhere but should happen, right? The community must have a consensus on this as it seems like the right path to open up communications for these specifics and not necessarily be seen as an act of war and then FS.

This can also be read as Clan A and clan B or you can switch LaF for Evo and still hold true.

I understand there is much more context going on here and a lot of "he said she said". I'm only trying to collapse it for the sake of simplicity to seek clarification.

I also want to reiterate the original post. Back in the Earth 2025 days we had so much fun and met fantastic people. In 2005 I met some of Sanctum's players in Amsterdam at a bar and it was the best time ever. I had been doing the whole working and traveling in Europe thing as my parents were stationed in Germany during my breaks from school in Mexico.

On our first set back we have quickly made new friends and we've experienced the nostalgia of playing this great game. We also recognize that we haven't spoken to everyone here on EE and know that we will continue to make friends. The politics and current conflicts are part of the game IMO. Personally, it gives EE it's flavor. We've heard crap talk from every side. We understand that it has history behind it and that it has impacted the efflux of players from the game on both sides. Both sides feel like they've been wronged and seek to rectify and defend their stances. We understand this completely. This is nothing new and we are here for the game including the drama.

I'd like to articulate that Apocalypse seeks/likes to be involved in conflicts without necessarily adhering to other clans' grudges/revenge/ideologies. We plan accordingly to what we believe is best for our clan as we come back from a 20 year hiatus. Having said that, we wholly take into account and value our friends. It is well understood that the dynamics of the game's social aspect (which we love) will likely put us in tight situations going forward. We don't take others' perceived animosity that does not directly involve us too seriously.

We look forward to speaking with as many people playing this game and hope to bring some old school love back into Earth.

I'm just being curious here... not here to make an opinion but just had a question.
Does the third statement sound like it's offering some degree of self-incrimination to the inquiry that the first statement asks for?

We've joined in on the fun. As our first set back we decided it'd be a great way to get back into the swing of things!

I used the forum search feature and could not find anything for over an hour. Sorry if this has been addressed and there's a fix/workaround.

The main banner up top with the EE logo, Portal, Game Info, News, forums etc and the blue buildings image blocks the upper part of the game text in most if not all of the pages (Advisor, Manage, Market, etc). Initially when navigating between the different pages or after researching, attacking, exploring or whatever, the full text is shown for about half a second and then it is blocked by the "banner" as if it went under it.

I am using Firefox and also tried it on Edge on PC. Issue persists. This is also happening to another clan member who used Chrome and Safari on Mac. Same issue.

Apocalypse (Apoc) 2001-2005. Some of us are coming back in 2023!

Apocalypse was a small/medium sized but very active clan back in the early 2000s on E2025. Our organization was top notch and we were known for our war effort being reliable to our allies as well as no nonsense Foreign Affairs approach to the game.
Some of the OG core members are giving it a go on EE. Some of you may remember us and we look forward to catching up with you if you do. Open channels to all was our policy and we are fiercely loyal to our allies set after set.
