No mistakes here Tmac, pretty happy with a 110mil finish, most players here can’t get that without getting hit once. Perfect example of what’s possible even with a wannabe suicider. So remember kids, if you think a few land grabs “ruined your set”, just have a look back here and remember, you’re the only one to blame for sucking.

Attacks you can do with simple math. Round the numbers. Send extra 10%.

Economy has calculators on eestats.com

Eventually you get to a pattern recognition phase and calculations aren't as necessary as "goals". Land, tech, turns, etc.

Whichever, if you guys use calculations to figure out when to stock or other things.

Is it even possible or has anyone hit 100 mil + in primary without doing a lot of math?

Like Tmac said you can absolutely get over 100m, I have a number of times and I’m utterly useless at math. If you’re talking about economy and stocking and all that, according to you I play off the cuff, the only time I use math is for attacks, and even then, up until recently I hadn’t even been using proper formulas, preferring to be lazy and just oversending massively (or undersending and failing because I didn’t understand how defensive allies worked till like last set lol)

When he hit you he was less the 4x your size, then he grew by running his turns. The only way to retal him is to grow to be more then 1/4 his size and then retal him.

It's a special kind of stupid!

Especially when there are a lot of much better targets at this stage in the round, like rainbows or those without tech or without specialization, versus a guaranteed retaliation later on from an experienced player.

People do it early set all the time. Half the top players in the game get an early landgrab or two. A few sets ago I got into a war (and won) with another top 10 player, who ROR'd because he wouldn't accept a retal for a hit on me early in the set, citing some 72 hour rule BS. fluff, this is primary, I can retal whenever the hell I want.

I just want everyone to know that I just withdrew good from the market without enough bushels to run one turn. I lost 5mil nw. Also I accidentally sold my stocked bushels at market price and had 10mil sell at 37. FML

Since I made a catastrophic error that ruined my finish, I've been sort of taking advantage of my misfortune and spying the top 10 players so I can learn more about what it takes to win in this game

It seems to me that you can either play in a style that affords you a chance to win, or you can do things like waste money buying SDI

You can't really do both though because you will lose to someone like Tmac or Gerdler who is playing a more aggressive, more offensive, and more efficient country

That’s not really true, my 144mil CI that won a few sets ago was the only time I have ever bought SDI, I wasn’t even in GDI, and because of it I took huge risks that actually ended up paying off.

Just curious what your production per turn is compared to the big cashers, as in your net production per turn, units produced x estimated sell price on market (minus commission) minus food and cash per turn

As a 60k+ acre farmer I make approx. 675k bushels per turn, plus about 3 mil per turn positive cash flow, which at a sell price of $40 on the public market puts me just over 28 mil per turn net, which at this stage of the game is way way behind what a same size casher is making per turn

Last set bushels were consistently 70+ or sold out. At those prices it 100% makes more sense. I started building farms relatively early as the prices were ridiculous, and by the end of last set of my 48k acres, 10k were farms, I didn’t by bushes for most of the set, and I still got rank 2.

Rookie mistake! You always defuse all missiles for the rest of the set when they break gdi on you, or just don’t farm countries with a ton of missiles…
