What causes units to diminish? TIA

There is decay of the units as the sit there. It's based on how many units you have, but also doesn't take effect until you take a turn, or something. One of our guys has been experimenting in alpha, it appears to be more complicated than we previously thought.

Jets & Turrets: (PMStartingUnits*(0.985^TurnsLoggedOut)+(2.5*Land*TurnsLoggedOut))

The factor of TurnsLoggedOut is always 1 if you are logged into your country, and I believe it hits a cap at the maximum turns (not counting stored) on the server. In other words, on a 120 turn server, if you logged out for 120 turns, you log into your market at “maximum” and it slowly diminishes as turns tick to a mean.

Conversely, if you are logged into your country and buy out your market, a turn tick will increase your PM but will be slower to reach the mean than if you were logged in. Logging out for 120 turns from zero market essentially gets you to about 92% of your “maximum” market from the mean, and the mean is about 51% of the maximum.

I’ve been retired a while and never really played express, but for sure on teams which was a 160 turn server you could increase your market with a logout further, to almost 2.5x of your mean. Theoretically, a 360 turn logout in express could increase your PM by over 5x over your mean if it’s not capped, but I never had any interest in testing it there.
