As some of you know, my middle child had a relapse.
It progressed quickly and ended in the worst possible outcome earlier tonight.
My little girl took a nose dive into battle for a second time and didn't make it. Victory is not always eternal, but is often valiant in the persuit of science.
Hopefully the time she spent in the hospital, 40% of her life, advances medicine and knowledge for the tragic affliction that takes too many children.
The odds were in your favor but you chose to follow the path of awareness. For others. Hopefully it was worth it :(
The worst pain on the planet is burying a child. The only comfort is that of family and friends. I doubt I will be around for a while. I am a little lost.
