I have been doing duolingo for 9 months now and ive learned a fair amount of russian but recently i learned how to get me and my friends unlimited retry hearts on the website all you have to do is make a profile and then message me your account tag and what language you want and i can add you to a classroom where your progress is unhindered!

BTW this works for existing accounts as well
