Is it common for guys to run around Exress server with 0 defense, or even the 100 troops they started with??

I have seen several so far, and am just wondering if this is somthing normal for the server!?

Yes, it is very common.

Those same countries will often times save their turns until they reach 360(360) and then grow dramatically. The hope is that by this time you have grown in land, and they will take a retal for much more than you got from them.

Their are also other benefits of saving turns, but I won't go into them.

This "delayed" tactic is very popular on this server.

Yup. It's like someone mentioned before. The greater the risk for the greater reward.

The smaller the military, the smaller the upkeep cost. So if you can manage to go undetected on express, then I guess I could see the benefit from it. It's not really practical though. It generally a good idea to have some defense to prevent an exodus on your country.

For example, spending $ on oil for 100 jets and losing 20 jets to an attack is easy to compensate for....

But if you have say like 30k turrets, you can make take out some jets with them as well as expend some of their oil. Of course if you go all out defense then you're much safer, but you're paying a lot more $ per turn.

Yeah delayed tactics help with determining with what strategy to go with based on the market.

Like right now- there's a ton of techers, and like 1 farmer. /exaggerating

Things will even out once more countries start playing. Food has spiked around this time the past few sets.

I imagine that military is going down because the majority of Cashers and Techers aren't playing turns. Thus the demand for military is still low. The few Indies that are starting early are all competing with each other, causing the slight crash.

Dude he must be an all jetter or #36 has next to nothing for defense. That's 5 PS for almost 3k land.
