When I came to EE-mainpage I saw box whiich said This Site Requires Authorisation and box had enter username and pass fields and after clicking cancel I got page saying Access Denied and some other crap but refreshing loaded proper page.

Patience: Yep, I'm with ELK and Marshal.

ELKronos: Patty is more hairy.

Gallery: K at least I am to my expectations now.

LadyGrizz boobies is fine

NOW3P: Morwen is a much harsher mistress than boredom....

same today, typing earthempires.com and hitting enter and site asks login and pass and cancel brings that (next time maybe i should try type my game-login there and see what happens).

I'd say it has to do with browser. Everything on port 80 should come through ok. Perhaps you are connecting through a proxie? Try turning that off, or using a different proxie.

I'm not using any proxy and i've had it occur with Chrome and FF.

I'm using Verizon services -- anyone haev any ideas?

again -- it might be due to the way we're doing our DNS stuff, though i've never heard of anything like this before...

i've never seen the problem myself; though there are two of you who have now.... DNS stuff should *just work*

many things should just work.

i don't use proxies and everytime that has happened i've used operator's dns's (lately those haven't been working perfectly for example denying access to gamesurge etc).
