I've lost count of the number of times I have forgotten to go GDI in express.

It would be great if just before your first grab, you were warned that you were not in GDI and would be forfeiting the opportunity to join.

(As a side note, It got me wondering why you can't join after a grab?)

You can't join GDI after a grab because GDI restricts the types of attacks that can be done. We didn't want a situation where players could do attacks not allowed by GDI then join GDI afterwards.

A warning message would be easy to add! It would also help out newer people as well who don’t understand how it works. It’s probably a good idea for something that greatly impacts the set.

what makes it excruciatingly annoying is that once you have attacked, you cannot even delete and start again.

It is basically - if you forget, your reset is over. It is not even a choice at this point its compulsory, ergo if it is compulsory why not start with it on by default? Make it opt out.

Nearly everyone steps in gdi holes early. The gdi differences between servers and their practical implications for game play are difficult to get right and remember. - i don't play express regularly and have twisted my ankle in the same gdi hole ungolino describes.

It would be great if someone wrote up a "gdi differenecs" help page with big warnings on the typical "mistakes" players make on the different servers. Then add some coding logic on the attack page that can remind players that on this particular server in your current situation, you are about to take an irrevocable gdi path by making an attack. On servers where you can make gdi changes after time and behavior constraints, warn the player how long and under what conditions you can reverse gdi choices. And put a link to the new gdi differences help page with these warning messages.

so you want an "are you sure you want to attack" message to appear before your "are you sure you want to attack message"?

I think 1 comprhensive message will suffice, delivered on the second attack screen, from which you press the attack button ... you need the warnings and explanations delivered while you stare at the button before pressing it

The other option is to have GDI as an automatic starting point and then the ability to opt out

Id actually like to see GS/BR/AB removed from solo servers because I dont that killing countries is really needed on solo servers....... though is fun to flatten a 10k country that has quad-tapped you. It would, however unbalance the ga.e in favour of the faster starting countries and strategies.

whats that got to do with SS and PS and then not being able to join GDI??? You should be able to join GDI after grabbing don't really see the reason either

yea sure, join gdi after making huge grab and defender can't retal due gdi.

For the time being I would recommend post-it notes to be placed around your screen, keyboard and anywhere you frequent on a daily basis.

I feel like I coded this with the clan GDI stuff that I haven't yet released. I added a bunch of lookups that made checking for previous attacks easy.
