How is everyone?

What is the state of play at the moment? The game appears to be in a holding pattern or stand off where everyone is just netting peacefully? Nobody warring, everyone just netting (like it or not) and dealing with suiciders?

As Im sure you are aware late wars are preferred over early wars as early wars last the entire reset. There has not been a war free reset for as long as you or I have played. There has been netting free resets tho. Balanced?

Maybe on this server, but FFA has been pretty peaceful. Maybe some netting tags should make tags there to experiment with on the server. This would also raise the amount of alliances in FFA and maybe help to change some politics there because the sand box is pretty small.

IF all people do is hit bots, then there is no real reason to war.

The game is getting more inbred by the second, and should have been put out to pasture probably 5 years ago?

I don't understand the whole ban evasion thing -- Karnage/Syko messaged me and other mods telling us off for what seemed like no reason and telling us to ban him, then comes back to break the ban

I don't have the time or patience to deal with crap like that. I'm thankful other mods are able to come and clean up the forum mess and enforce the bans but it's ridiculous that we need them in the first place.

What was his Alias's? The community deserves to know and it's not like other mods haven't outed people and their Alias's

People do it to be clever, bluntly. They want to demonstrate they can get away with breaking the rules /shrug

I'm fairly certain people could war in less time on FFA than alliance too since you wouldn't need to sit in warchat for 4 hrs waiting for a speed kill to run turns. Maybe that will change when large clan immunity is introduced on 1a.

I would welcome anything that would grow the FFA server. Hopefully some war tags come over. I do believe that FFA is quicker and easier to war as you can run chats yourself.

If you are not good at calc breaks you can run the chat and break and hit what you can on your own.

It is easy to track people once you learn a play style. They tend to run the same builds...

Besides you only have perms for the server you mod.

So the war started. Just around the time wars usually start.

I just thought we should revisit this thread because in a few weeks at the start of next set you will make this thread again I think, and you will complain that no one is warring and that the state of play is boring to you.

I remember warring with you on my side. I invited you to our warchat and kept nagging you to come and when you finally did you were there for maybe 2-3 warchats in as many days then you quit warring and tagged "Bow2MD" for the rest of the set.
I totally get it when people are pacifists in this game. Some of the best people I know in this game are like that, they just don't see a reason to fight as it takes too long for them and its not their cup of tea, and I totally respect their decision.
What baffles me is someone who loves seeing others war or getting suicided but hating to see it done to them.
Every set that elders and LaF fought you were cheerful(except when you failed a landgrab because you think 1 tank is as powerful as 3 troops or whatever) because you had a chance to get top 20 that way.

Real warriors like war IME. Real netters like to COMPETE in netting with others of similar, higher or lower calibre and they get inspired by it. Some people can be both of these things, which is amazing. You perplex me because you seem to dislike fighting but love war as long as it takes out your netting competition and doesn't involve you. You are unlike any netter or warrior I know, a true manifestation of how diverse a crowd we have in this game.

Whilst i appreciate the fact that you are thinking about me, I think with most things context is important. I don't judge you because your EE history is different to mine. Hence your opinion and attitude towards the game would be different to mine.

You're been on the giving end of farming smaller tags, I've always been on the receiving end as I enjoy gameplay with a smaller group. I also refused to farm smaller tags and untagged because i could see it would have devastating impact on the future of earth2025 and now ee as we are all living it now...

OOP wars happen, wars aren't always late set. My question was fair and was generalised across the server not just about wars.

I've also never claimed to be a real warrior or a great netter. In fact I've often said I'm not great at any element of this game.

What I am though is active, positive and I recruit playes to this game. If you want to view that as negative then so be it.

Where is this BS comming from? I have never farmed any small tags who didnt first hit me/my tag.

I was also on the recieving end many times. Do you know Rome? Do you know PoT? Those are two tags I have played in that got farmed out of the game. If those were started today they would do just fine because of the bots, for better or for worse.
