zyg: there is no land grab policy for the untagged in the game at the moment. All of the alliances, including the one you are joining next set will almost land kill the unlucky untagged countries in their humanitarian range in the name of low risk land acquisition. Just retal in anyway you see fit, and expect to be killed for it.

Unless the mechanics of the game are changed to discourage repeated bottom feeding, or you can stay in the top 50 for the whole set, do your own retals, and have the connections with LaF to keep their members from farming you down to create another land source, there is no way to keep your land untagged. It is also common practice to kill untags that retaliate. At this point in the reset though, it's mainly deerhunter trying to show that he's a bad mofo and doing his damnedest to discredit his alliance, since everyone else is destocking.

Paradigm recognizes your untagged retal policy so long as it adheres to our stated policy under "Special Rules" (I think that's the name of the section):

*Both incoming and outgoing missile attacks may be used as retals, using escalating rules - even for the defender.
*Non-retal missile attacks / spy ops will be retalled 1:1, including retaliatory missile attacks / spy ops or SS / PS.

So the solution is to make farming an untagged no longer a low risk method of gaining land.

for your info i dont normally grab untaggeds. I dont get much land from them. The only exception is when an untagged goes all jetter to hurt fellow clan members- then i hurt them to protect my tag (as any good member would).

When your clan farms them first, maybe your clan's good members would be wise to not pick fights with countries that can go jet heavy and cause problems.

it won't work ziggy, you'll be able to AB max 200ish turns (if you can afford it but i doubt it). indeed farming untagged is lame but the other part is true also: the server is called Alliance.

I think this is really the heart of the matter. While untaggeds apparently have no rights in the eyes of clans, I think that works in reverse also: Clans have no rights in the eyes of untaggeds. It then becomes a game of endurance to see who blinks first, the untaggeds that keep getting killed or the clans that get tired of being ankle-bitten.

I'd be surprised if it's the clans, but if the untaggeds can manage it, they have my support.

problem is that the untagged see somebody like Deerhunter, and decide that all of Sol is bad because he is such a douche, I don't think he understand how many untagged countries are going to mess with Sol next set just because he is a arss
