yes, it is very easy. If you click on the send attack button multiple times it will send multiple requests without need to reload that screen. Should be able to get 2-5 hits in per second depending on connection speed and server congestion
Do you have the defending news? If the amount of military the attacked lost dropped every time then it was certainly a bot. Otherwise it could definitely be a person.

That works out to .1818...s to hit. Having played with a stop watch before I know I can click at rates faster .1s/click. His speeds are not implausible.
it's quite possible for sure; you can't run multiple attacks at the same time however, so they do get processed in order -- this means it's dependent mainly on how quickly the server can process the attacks, as you can send multiple requests before the server has responded to the first of them;
