I guess It finally sunk in today the landscape of the game has completely changed since E2025. The game used to be based on wars and those who netted kind of did it to the side. The game storyline was based around grudges, politics, wars, blindsides there was an under belly of meetings and FA's who woud meet and discuss relations. With those netting sitting on the sidelines.

I feel now the direction has become less player involved and more secluded. I've said it time and time again that the bots should go or at least retal. It used to be that over 30k acres you were a fatty. This set has many countries over 300k and even 400k arces countries that have had no interaction with ANY non bot country.

We've had one small war, and everyone else just playing by themselves.

I guess this post came from looking at old FA AT posts from e2025. Looking at some of the war stats and country numbers.

I agree ,even though I haven't played long, but ran into similar problems on other servers. Just for the hell of it ,I'd play and war a set in Alliance or Team once under some type of a an Event that happens every couple sets. For example let's have a Blue State vs Red State Roylale or something.

The perpetual grudge wars and blindsides were what drove away many players too. It was not sustainable. :-(

But I'm hopeful we're going to be building a new foundation that we can grow the player base. Getting Jab and Bug involvrd is a good start

I dont see such a country anywhere. What I do see is a 405k acre country with 2 kills on player played countries.

I agree with mrcuban's sentiments. Bots need (and are being) adjusted and to be given a reactionary aspect, is not a mildly aggressive one in some cases.

I would still like to know why I was singled out as an example of someone who had no interaction with any non-bot country when only I and two other countries in the top 10 for land at the time (Mr Gainsboro and die already (#414)) had hit non-bots.

You could have blamed me for sniping, that would have been fair. A quick look at my country at the time would have shown that you should have picked another country, or made a more general statement such as "mostly hitting bots". But instead you singled out my country and said that I "have had no interaction with ANY non bot country". Notice the capitalized "any" to further underscore your claim.

Free Crimea too (#373), played by me and die already (#414), played by Ebert were the only two t10 finishers who had participated in hitting the very much non-bot troublemakers we were faced with. So you could have made your point, the same point as you choose to make, without including falsehoods or downright lies into your statement by singling out any of the other 8 or even several of them.

The fact that you singled out one of the few countries that actually had player vs player interaction within its history suggests alterior motives. Especially since you yourself had very limited interaction with non-bots; 4 grabs on a player you probably thought was a bot, anyway.
Either what bothers you is that you cant keep up, in which case you need to focus on other things than blaming those that beat you.
Or you are bothered by the acreages that we see in todays game, which is fine to be bothered by. But in such a case I would suggest you make your post on bugs and suggestions where you outline why you think the game would be better if it was not feasible to get to 400k or 300k acres. Blaming the players for playing the game in the optimal way is not gonna get you anywhere.

Consider the source, I would not sweat it.

Pang, let's test your theory. When SOF returned, membership went up cuz folks knew there would be wars on the horizon. This set, a server war has been rumored. Let's see if war attracts more members. I have spoken to many members that have left this game over the years and the common theme was they hated prearranged wars and the fact that a handful of members were redirecting the game to meet their personal needs along with BS retal policies

Tbh if all the cool people banded together we could play how we want.

These fluffs who dictate retal policies and how we should play want us divided. Divided we are weak and they can shun us and shame us for our beliefs on how the game should be played.

Together we would be strong. I see a lot of cool people on AT every now and then, but I CBA to organize.

Even then you’d probably run into the same problem SoF had. Tag 60? Laf tags 50 extra multies and crushes you with 80 countries
