Being a police lieutenant around Christmas is very hard in the inner city. This year we raised $5000 in gift cards to help. We also got vouchers for anyone late on their gas and/or electric. Private donors donated and vetted the people to make sure.
We all bought gloves, blankets, winter jackets, socks etc.
It got me thinking. There’s people here who get a bad rap, and at times they deserve it. But I hope permanently banned people luck.
It’s ok to disagree, but not disagreeable. People aren’t reporting to mods on discord they’re reporting to discord themselves.
During the holidays, maybe apologize to someone you disliked or you dint want to see. Mute them on discord.
This is a still a small community, and it’s worth to just let it go at times.
I wish you all the best on Christmas and Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I wish you the best. I wish you good health and if you are struggling with health issues that they can be healed and you can be on the mend soon.
But maybe right now all of us could just take a breath and try to treat each other decent at least for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at least I don’t think that’s a lot to ask for but I just wanna put out there that there’s so many people that are so much worse off. Like a lady in front of me today when I got my iced tea for work earlier, I don’t know where she just paid for my order and I ended up paying for the order behind me. I think that’s an incredible nice gesture and I just hope that maybe it could be contagious and for a couple of days we can all just Try to be friends and remember the game is so small now that having friends is important.
