Why wouldn't it Alicia? Do allies contribute at most 75% to offense? I can't remember the attack bonus (and I can't login yet) for declaring war so I'm not even considering that!

jets * govt bonus * weaps * ally * attack bonus * PS
1,000,000 * 1.25 * 1.5 * 2 * 1.1 * 1.5
= 6.2 mil jets equiv

rep
turrets * govt bonus
=7.2*.85
= 6.12 mil turrets equiv

A dict with 1 mil jets, 150% weaps, 100% ally bonus, 10% attack bonus and a PS can break a basic Rep with 7.2 mil turrets.

Hehehehe

If they get caught running multi landfarms they will die immediately.

If they can recruit idiots to be their landfarms, well congrats.

You won't be able to compare against bonus turns. That will be the new reality. Therefore bonuses will only be seen as positive unless you continue to live in the past.

Timing of use will be the strategy.

The more I look at it the more I like it. The bonuses can be very strategic.

Just need to be careful about not allowing some overpowering bonuses.

This will be fun to explore and use. I also like dantzig's idea.

Does the max for weapons tech bonus mean that the strength can only be increased 4 times but used multiple times at that level? I'd love more clarification on this because we don't really have the time to experiment mid set and we don't want to screw it up experimenting.

If you do this you need a counter op that can trace the original source. Otherwise it throws the politics that run the community into witchhunts.

Require oil to run Res zones, Farms, mil basses and oil rigs.
Put in a tech that reduces oil use.

It would require tweaking some strats because techer would gain a huge advantage for not requiring oil. It would create a stable viable market for oil, and oil would still have its peaks for war.

I like some of the ideas on this thread.

I'd like to point out that one of the best things about earthempires, as compared to earth2025, is that the admins are actively changing the game. They've changed the formulas, the framework and the boundaries.

Now you want people to adjust to them, but only in a specific way. You want to play according to the old rules and boundaries in a game where there are new rules and boundaries.

The only way you will accomplish maintaining your old, stale general rules of thumb and etiquette is to keep others from exploring what's new. You've got several routes to use to do this. You can enforce your old rules through force, through diplomacy, or you can create another route.

Whatever the case is please, God, give these people a mind to let the community grow and change rather than become an old, flaccid languishing weiner.

If you want to be the grumpy old men you can go sit down at your local Doughnut shop where you can gossip and complain about the kids with your crew of geriatrics.

BTW, I don't know of any SoFer who is buying out the bushels for their clanmates. We don't participate in such obvious market aiding because we enjoy a level playing field when it comes to netgaining.

Does EVO send this type of market aid? SoF does not.

You've just described a market buyout. Does EVO admit to buying out the markets for their guys?

At SoF we are proving our netgaining abilities this reset so there will be no need to straight out net for a long time to come. That is not to say that we will war, but simply that we have no need to intentionally net to prove ourselves.

Every alliance now avoids us and our overwhelming power. Therefore I suspect no wars for a while.

It's too easy to cover up. They can buy out their private markets immediately after selling tech.

They've done these buyouts enough to know how to cover their trails.

You follow the scent of FA and soon you'll be barking up the EVO/Omega/Monsters tree. They have done it intentionally. A few SoF countries have benefited because we got the brains buddy.

It appears that some people hate netting because others out net them.

It appears the same people hate warring because others beat them up.

Will Thomas and friends quit
Over failure at netting?
Maybe it's best to start knitting
And to purchase a kitten
So you can stay hidden
From any cruel competition

SoF didn't do any buyouts.

LCN did the buyout, as did any other top 10 that isn't SoF.

I guarantee EVO did buyouts. Check the SDI/mil strat buyouts that happened a few days ago. WHO DID THOSE? Evo. Why don't you all get up theirs about that, huh?

I know this guy and he did benefit from a buyout.

He hit it good with oil and a few techs. He's had massive land for a lot of the reset that helps as well.

I had 3100000 oil on the market at 199 but the lowest price it showed was 245. It had been on there for almost 3 days so maybe it was being returned?

Either way, it was shown as being on the market for 199 but the best price I could buy for on the market was 245.

Message me if you need country # information.

IVAN is the strength of SoF

IVAN makes SoF great

IVAN provides might to SoF

IVAN and his inability to lead provide humour to SoF

IVAN correcting ALLEY over whose puppy it is that lives with them makes me giggle

IVAN and his lack of political sophistication (well the game in general) is fun to poke at

In general join SoF so you can smack talk IVAN OUR GREAT LEADER on forums where he cannot access. Although with his new godly site powers he may have granted himself access. In anycase, I can see him growing into a hilarious dictator. That's enough to keep me around. You should join in too.

If ICN keeps running back to bite our heels whenever we turn our backs to walk away, like a little chihuahua, then I will personally steal dixiechick's goats, MadMorticia's cats (I'm assuming on that one), make them into head cheese and then send it to each of ICN's members in a Christmas gift basket.
