I do not think helium would offset weight by much unless the drone was fairly large.

Cameras these days would add minimal weight to a drone. Thinking a smartphone type camera, which I see as negligible in terms of weight.

The computers do not need to be on the drone. What is needed on the drone are the servo motors and a chipset to control these. Any hefty computation equipment needed can be housed at a base station. Granted they would not be autonomous, then again if this drone fired tasers on a crowd I would like to know there was some form of human decision behind the action. The last thing we need to hear is the drone malfunctioned, so sorry, we will be looking into the software to see why.

This is one of those moments of simply accepting these are here to stay, and they will be weaponized. non-lethal force is just a first step, eventually they will be lethal. As for crowds and protesters they will find countermeasures and adapt. My first thought was nets to render the tasers ineffective, gas masks or even wet bandannas and goggles to render teargas less effective. If low enough probably just find something that can fire foam across the needed distance, maybe even nerf guns to mess with the rotors. I can see where a water cannon could really jack one of these things up. Alternately use very low cost drones (the cheapy $20 versions) to swarm and crash into these things.

As stated earlier high altitude surveillance, out of countermeasure reach, will probably be best use for drones, at least short term. I'm fairly sure the police departments will not want to lose a 5-10K drone to a handful of mini $20 drones cashing into it. These things are way too fragile to be turned into offensive weaponry, unless they can maintain a safe distance to operate from.

-- I do not play a commie indy, so cannot really comment on how you would stockpile with such a country, However if I were to guess I would say selling most of your production should allow you to stockpile, and keep expenses a little lower. Most likely you would need to logon 2-4 time a day to put your production on the market.

If I get caught the first time why in the world would I want to rob the same bank again? to show the world I can rob the stupid bank, and they need to just let me get away with it? Would it not be smarter to move onto some other bank perhaps with a little less security.

Now for would be bank robbers, before you start you need to realize that at some point you are going to get caught. So you need to figure out how much you can walk away with and keep. The math in such a case is If i sit in jail for 20 years how much am i getting paid per year to sit in jail. If i steal 10K and kept 10k then it was hardly worth it considering my end of day pay day is $500 a year. However if I walk away with 20mil then surely a million dollars a year to sit in jail might be worthy of consideration :)

If they can retal you the first time it should be obvious they can, and most likely will retal you a second time. It's sort of like robbing the bank and going to jail without being able to keep the money. In essence the ROI for the risk taken is lower then the guy who at least made 10 grand :)

Will definitely miss you in express Celphi, hope you do change your mind. I do agree with the basics of what you are saying. Players should not be allowed to sell below their personal PM price.

Sort of make it like the flag that auto buys from the PM when public prices exceed the PM prices.

Oil for the most part would not sell below 60, although a theo could still drive public prices down some.

nah, I'm pushing for a 17 mil net finish, I also stopped land grabbing, and just explored the last 2k acres. -- Still learning the nuances of the server.

no worries Celphi I'm selling/sold my last 30+ mil bushels to the private.

the one thing farmers need to realize is the other strats have to buy food, and as long as they have a decent PM price for their military, they will ultimately win the reset. It does not matter if a commie raises their military prices, and with a tech start for the most part a farmer can ignore higher prices in tech.

anywho i made my cash goal either way.

lol, well I usually sell all my bushels to the PM, but every now and then when I see prices in the mid 40s I will put a batch up on the public. No undercutting just wait out my turn in the queue, so all can benefit from the higher price.

then comes along the ones that just have to sell the 16 mil bushels now, no patience, and start racing for the lowest possible price.

my lowest price is $35 anything above that is gravy for me...

I would prefer selling 26 mil bushels at 44 then 120 mil bushels at 37. After all it is all the same in the end with an extra 240 mil in revenue. The only difference being I am not flooding the market with cheap bushels ;)

@drkprinc ..perhaps I should reword it to play smart and with a little patience. I halfway do not expect nice, but undercutting the market is not exactly smart, considering Commies, Cashers and Techers all need food to take turns. $44 dollars was a very fair price for that stage of the reset and there was ample time left in the reset to get it sold too.

the alternative could be like this reset where prices drop and the market gets flooded with cheap bushels adding pressure to the food market, and prices do not go over $40 for the rest of the reset ;)

lol, someone out there kept undercutting me and all I wanted to do was sell 26mil bushels @ above $40... (i would have sold the rest of my bushel to my PM).

When I realized this country, whoever it was was not going to play nice, and let me sell my bushels, I crashed the market.

and sold over 50 mil bushels between $37-40... next time be nice and perhaps all can sell @ above $40 ;p

A good alternate would be to allow players to balance what they want enhanced, much in the same way the Manage pages lets the player balance their military production. --- So a farmer may want an extra 20% cash vs. bushels, or split it up .... personally I would love to see it include a boost in explore and enhanced tech effect.

it would change how various strats are played, various enhancements make more sense during certain phases of the game.

If there is one good thing coming out of the Iran deal then it's the potential to divert some of the money Iran spends on Chinese goods back to western nations. Strengthening our negotiating position with both China and Russia.

Marshal I am not looking to increase the amount of disasters in a reset but to distribute this amount. So instead of say 12 eartquakes there are only 2 eq in a reset the other 10 disasters are redistributed as something else. These would also only target specific building types.

After playing casher in FFA and suffering thru 100s of earthquakes at least 4-5 per day this reset, I must say it would be nice if earthquakes randomly only affected certain buildings.

At least there would be a lower chance of it hurting a country, unless being played as a rainbow.. depending on the strat being played there would be times when earthquakes destroy 0 buildings.

--- Similar to oil field fires or bushels being burned, or even worker strikes if there are 0 indys.

Alternately:
maybe make different types of natural disaster, i.e hurricane (casher), tornado (farmer), tsunami (oiler), volcano erupts (techer), asteroid strike (indy), earthquake (all). <-- spice things up a little

naw my countries be different but same concept, looks like LTD, actually beat me to the idea, based on country nums...

I had not noticed the LTD countries until after the reset started. I do have a general idea of who is playing them though 1 of 2 players in mind ;) If it is who I think it is then it is an old timer and decent player.

when buying off the private market, the most net worth per $ spent is troops first, then tanks, 3rd is jets, and last is turrets ;)

unless you can buy turrets on the public market for about one third to a quarter of what a tank would cost you on the private market. i.e your PM has tanks for $500 and turrets on public $125 then buy turrets...
